i have also heard the suspension set up is slightly different but if you're gonna lower it anyway there isnt a huge difference.
Is definately different suspension set up. I asked the dealer and they said the dampening was made softer for the lower profile tyres as well as feedback from owners that the ride on the Euro was too harsh.
Whether or not that is true or just an answer from a dealer for the sake of an answer I don't know.
thats just wot ive heard from a few ppl..dat its 1" lower..so im not to sure..
fair enough - I measured using the "how many fingers" fit method so it is not precise. Maybe I am wrong but I think 1" difference between the models would be very noticeable. My car is dropped just over 1" (3cm) and that is very noticeable and is definately much lower than a stock lux.
I think the standard euro's sussy is around 1inch lower because I have parked my Euro next to a Lux model with 17" wheels and I noticed quite a height difference - almost reaching 2 inches but I didnt measure it precisely.
I realise having 16" wheels would lower the car a bit compared to 17", but it seemed like there was something else other than the smaller wheels that made it lower.
Can anyone confirm this theory?
Maybe the workshop manual has some info

Rolling tyre diameter between the 16 and 17 is pretty much the same so "height" shouldn't change just because of the rim size.
The way I was checking any differences (this was when the 17s were just released) was just checking the arch gap with my hand - which is still huge on the lux! I wouldn't be surprised if there is some difference but I still maintain 1" is a lot!
