    92 Civic EG SI funny fan noise ...

    Hey guys anyone know what this could be ... i have a funny noise that occurs after car has warmed up on idle ... ill be at the traffic lights and all i can hear is the loud noise like eeeeeeeeeeeeeee .... I think its coming from 1 of the fans its like a squeaking noise .... when i accelerate noise stops ... once idle drops back down starts again ... anyone know wat it could be an how i can fix it? ... much appreciated ...

    check your belts teeth and tension

    alternator belts / ac belts / ps belts .
    EG civic are not running belt driven cooling fans.
    Loose belts can get them to produce noise

    + 1 vote for alternator belt or ps/ac belt.
    Get a mechanic to properly tighten the belts and that will probably stop your problem.

    try some silicon spray on the belts or wd for the fans

    alternator and powersteering belt is most likely worn out.. or too tight/loose ... or just try spray some wd-40 .. might stop the squeeling for abit
