alarm goes click

i have a strange problem
after i disarm the alarm and start the car, so it just sitting there idleing
every 10seconds(ruffly) i here a fairly loud clicking sound coming out of my alarm siren (little black box), its a code alarm
another strange point is after sometime the clicking goes away and then only comes back intermitant, but its always going there wen first start up.
however alarm works fine! could this be a honda thing its in an EM1, i have has simlular alarms on other cars and i get nothing.
any1 one got any ideas let me know thankyou

How old is the cars battery? Alarms detect a loss in battery power and complain about it.

aaahhh possibly still original battery however doesnt look in the best nick terminals r connected
