    hmmm so can you clear this up for me, the offset and the SHAPE of the wheels determine the clearance for the calipers??? or am i totally lost? haha I've always thought it was the shape of the wheels only.

    I think the only thing that matters is the offset. The correct offset for the dc5 is +45. if the offset is higher or lower, it will affect the handling. so its not just the caliper clearance you should be worried about. If you are only after looks, you don't have to worry too much about getting the correct offset.
    I wouldn't go much more than 2 or 3 mm each way out of the correct offset. if your running stock calipers and rotors

    Do you guys if it possible to fit a 17 by 8.5 offset of 30 and 17 by 9.5 offset of 35 on the rear into a DC5?

    To answer your question no.unless u run some serious camber


    17X7.5 with 30mm is pretty much the extereme with your normal camber
