    Exhaust

Hey, I just bought a 2 1/4" Skunk2 catback exhaust, but I'm thinking of going turbo on my ZC. Would this exhaust size be OK for about 8psi? Shouldn't be too small should it? I'm not really keen on forking out some more for another 3" system.

    Cheers.

Little bit restrictive mate - but it should be fine...

I'm in the same boat - going turbo with a 60mm spoon exhaust that cost me $2k...so I'm NOT buying another one.

I've ran a turbo using the stock exhaust

it's not going to cause the motor to explode or anything... will suck up a lot of power, but it'll still work.

Dyno dave reckons the skunk 2 exhaust can easilt flow up to 300WHP.

I wouldnt be too worried about upgrading to a 3" straightaway.....

opening up corky bell's maximum boost and looking at the exhaust size to bhp chart, puts 2.25" exhaust diameter right around 300bhp for proper sizing.
