btw.. i noticed that injector cleaner seems to add a little boost in the engine, but i've never noticed it cleaning the injectors. They seem the same once i run out of the injector cleaner

Just serviced my car (5000km) today - it's a new Euro Sport.

All I wanted was for them to drain the oil, put in a new filter and the Motul 4100 I brought with me. Instead, they did a full service, check of my car and "fuel injector cleaner costing $14".

So a $120 oil change ... I'll have to double check that oil level too - I have a feeling it's just a little bit too high as I've got almost nothing left in the bottle. *hmph*

$120 for just being too lazy to change the oil myself because of work commitments.

$120 is good. It costs $200 here in Sydney if you bring your own oil.

I have used an oil flush in my car when it hit 200K - main reason I tried it was because a good friend recommended it. No complaints, used it in my car and my mum's ek4 which has 240K on the clock. Cleaned the engine right up and both cars have been idling even quieter since.

as for servicing, oil changes and easy stuff I do at home....

cost of honda oil filter is approx $15. Cost of oil approx $45.

I don't think I will be going back to this dealership - got the car home and noticed that my strut brace was completely loose. Not sure why they had to remove it (checking valve clearances was an item on the service - so maybe that is why) - the least they could do was put the strut brace on properly.
it's annoying when the dealers try and push-sell random crap onto you.

was any adjusting needed re, the valve clearance ?

btw, does this mean you're back from travelling?

I didnt ask if any adjustments were done - I am pretty sure the invoice just says ´checked valve clearance´.

I am not back from travelling - my quote above is from December 05 - someone just bumped up this thread

I'm also in Perth - which dealership was that? I'd love to find myself a nice Honda dealer who is honest with his/her servicing and has good quality control as well.

I cant remember to be honest but it wasnt Honda North in Scarborough. Following a not so positive experience there (not bad - just not great) I wanted to try somewhere else.

I think it was on the Leach Highway but cant be sure without looking at the receipt (can you see I dont know Perth well?)
