Exclamation Will ITR manifold bolt to stock GSI Cat ?

Q.1 -I got myself a AUDM 'Type R' Manifold which i will be bolting to a DC4 ( GSI ) Integra. My question is has anyone done this/ know - If the manfold will bolt straight up to the cat ? ( donut size / Flange angles e.t.c ) as i've heard it might not ? I know it bolts to the block fine, worried about the Cat section ?

Q.2 - Does anyone know what the actual size of the GSI stock exhaust piping is, im pretty sure its same as VTIR - Which from what i can see looks like 2 " ?

2.25" on the stock GSR but I could be wrong. I never measured mine before I went to 2.5" but I remember someone elsewhere saying 2.25".

Hmm ok, well i suppose i'll just get under the car when i get a chance and TRY have a look and see how it sits, otherwise i'll just have to get a pipe welded from the cat to fit the manifold...**Hope it just bolts up though** MUCH EASIER...

    I think.

GSI is 2inch or 1.75, VTIR is 2inch. AUDM type R header is 2.25 i believe. Therefore it wont bolt straight on, but anyone with some welding experience should be able to connect it..
My numbers might be wrong, but definately GSI header and Type R header are different size.

Felix - I know the headers (Runners)are different design/size however im pretty sure 2-1 Section that bolts up to the cat are the same size ( from what i can see anyway )...

Nah they should be different. They might look the same size.
A pipe with a diameter of 2inch and a pipe with a diameter of 2.25/2.5 inch will look allmost the same to the naked eye, unless you put them side by side.

Locote - Is that because the flange is on a angle... ?
Therefore all would be require is to cut the flange off the cat , fit to header at right angle, then re-weld back on to cat ?
