    i think if the clutch is dead.. like ecu-man says the engine would rev up high and the car will just move slowly..like its bogged. To test out your clutch, shift it in 1st gear and slowly take the clutch off, if the car jerks hard, then ya clutch is still good... if it just locks in. then ya clutch is a gonna. But i doubt its the clutch. prolly something to do with fuel. Thats my guess tho... GOOD LUCK DUDE.

    Sounds like a misfire to me too

    Check and/or change the following...
    Plug leads
    Dizzy cap
    Spark plugs - check for water inside the plug holes
    fuel filter
    oil - sometimes....

    Doesn;t sound like clutch to me either

    sorry aobut the lateness in replying... well i'm not sure if this is the same thing but you can tell me if it is or not...

    but if i'm in 1st gear and i accel. alil then release the clutch the car jerks.

    is that the same thing as your test?

    Sorrry aslo for the late reply....

    I'm actually not sure how to check the leads or the dizzy cap...
    In terms of the spark plugs, i've recently changed it but if there is watter in the holes how do i go about getting the holes dry again?
    hmm... i'm not too sure how to test the fuel filter either.. :O(

    If the car jerks on take off Only while your foot is operating the clutch and only if there is no misfire once the clutch is released then it is possible its your clutch. or your flywheel needs machining.
