yeah i've heard the K20A with modded intakes, they sound like dinasaurs, have you got headers and catback yet?
i got an accord VTi now, the engine sounds alright , i was thinking of just buying a pod filter and sticking it at the end of the pipe for engine noise but its too much trouble changing it and then putting it back to stock...

nah no headers or catback yet... will be looking into a catback soon though, doubt i'd do anything to the headers.. by the look of them they look like they are stainless steel and quite large in size, so should be fine with stock headers.

take some dynos and show us some evidence, until then, have a nice cup of STFU and stop givin out misleadin info, alfy works hard for his money he doesnt need some kid raising his expectations of a CAI and then be disppointed.
he's just after noise so in this case im sure he wont be disappointed. cheers
Your the only person giving misleading information in this thread, you have never even owned a DC5 and probably never will, I have owned 3 and still curruntly own one and MAx power also owns one. My car makes 150kw at the wheels with intake/headers/ exhaust/ toda spec c cams/k-pro and Max power's car makes 138 k atw with intake/headers/ exhaust/ k-pro and just for your info a stock DC5R/S makes around 100kw at the wheels. And i know of numerous othe DC5's with intake/headers/ exhaust/ k-pro that all make between 135-140kw at the wheels But hey there is no way intake, headers and exhaust can make 35-40kw at the wheels, dyno must be lying for sure.

How bout you go back to b series land because then your info might be relevant with your very limited experience. Seriously mate your a wanker, its no wonder no one who actually knows anything about K-Series motors never comes on ricehonda oops i mean ozhonda.

    LOLLLL now hes fired up...
read my posts, i havnt said exhausts and headers are shit, i said u wont get more than 2 kw with CAI. i've seen intakes not do shit on my friends sportivo, supra and a ek with b18c7 (hes on this forum) and CAI HASNT DONE SHIT BUT ADD NOISE they've all said it themselves, and i told them "i told you so". put everything back to stock, dyno ur car, then put the CAI on and dyno it again on the same day and same dyno then u'll see whatta fool u are. so until you bring evidence to back your claim just stfu and go waste your time somewhere else u tool.

But what you are saying is that those different engines havent responded, and are assuming that the K20 would behave the same, which is completely incorrect. The standard intake/exhaust/headers on the dc5 are quite restrictive and behave very well to the inclusion of a less restrictive system (i.e. the free-er flowing intake system).

Below is a dyno of a stock airbox (dotted line) vs. injen CAI system (solid line). Please note the significant increase in horsepower (14.3hp) without tuning or other mods. Enjoy your cup of tea of STFU

Thanks , but i actually have the Mugen intake so it would not be useful for this argument. I can post my numbers up but it will just show outright power, not stock vs CAI which noone will have done on the same dyno on the same day to make the information accurate. The dyno i have posted is based off an american Type S (pretty much the AU Type R in terms of response to mods).

I would love to see some data supporting your obviously substantiated claims.

ur the one with the big claim the burden of proof is on you...
ur car might be puttin out that power because of headers/exhaust and other mods but its certainly no the CAI. and i dont think u've dynod ur car with CAI vs stock, otherwise u wouldnt be talkin up all this shit. read my sig, ur a good example

I have just shown you a dyno comparing the two...the burden of proof is now unto yourself to prove me wrong...Not just claim it like you have read it in a magazine

As to my choice of intake, this one done for both looks AND function as I did not want a large hole in my engine bay. My intake is actually quite restrictive compared to a CAI.

All you have to do is look at Adrian from Toda's Type S. He has a CAI and exhaust and is putting out substantial numbers. Please for the sake of humanity, my sanity and the car gods, back up your massive claim that they dont make power.

yeah ok u win, CAI will give u an extra 14hp, same as a red car gives u an extra 30.
and no magazine says CAI doesnt do shit, because they all wanna keep their sponsors happy and promote the products.
now im sure u'll run along and get ur mate adrian to read this thread and give another biased opinion, but oh well
