knockin noise, could it be bottom end?

    i hab a problem with my s2000
there is a sight knockin noise when i rev to 3500 RPM...
i think the noise is coming from the bottom end.. >.<
and also when i drive the car from stop to start i can feel the car has lack of power... is it because i hab a custom exhaust??
or is it just how i drive which effects the drivin??
has neone had this problem b4..??

engine knocking is commonly caused by fuel types (correct me if i am wrong)... did u just swapped ur fuel type? say from 95 to 92? does it happen all the time?

    engine knocking? lose of power?

sounds like your engine is about to die?

When i was doing some research on the s2k before i went and got mine i was reading up that the guys in the US had many problems with their motors seizing. Most had the symptoms that you descirbe, engine knocking and lose of power....best to get it checked out. but i could be wrong

but before putting anything serious... maybe try to drain out what's left in the tank (if there's not much left), or you can fill up the tank maybe with ultimate or else which has higher RON grade.. see if that minimises the problem.. which i think it should.
s2000 has quite high compression ratio so its always a good idea to always fill up with at least 95...

sounds like you targeted the problem.
can also be a timing problem, but if you recently filled with incorrect fuel..

im just saying that could be the worse case scenario. The only time i heard of it happening was to some guy in QLD.

Think it was just bad fuel. my advice is not to rev past 4k rpm until u drain it out completely.
