if ive taken my badge off the grill, and theres like a whole part missing black paint on it, does that mean the cars been in an accident before?

coz all my friends grills look good/finished, whereas mine looks SHIT

the paints missing right where the badge was. so its kinda like a square missing. atm ive just covered most of it with black permanent texta haha, still looks shit. hasnt got the gloss finish.
