Yes they are both pretty much the exact same engine. 1 was released in Australia (d16) the other in Japan (zc)..

Crx's tend to hold their value pretty well. I originally had a ZC and it was a great car nice and peaky.. I love my b16a SiR now has the bit more power and I find it has a fair bit of toque. Maybe have a look around for an SiR some go for near the same price but finally decision rest on the condition of the car.

Enjoy and hope you find a good crx.

lmfao, the b16a is actually pretty well known for having relatively little torque

yeah i think you'll find a ZC in good running order will have more torque low down than a B16A. this is due to the 90mm stroke as opposed to the 77mm stroke of the B16A. even peak torque of the B16A is only a couple more Nm over the ZC
however the higher compression of the B16A gives it better response. plus the shorter ratios tend to have you sitting higher in the rev range more often.

    fixed: cheers yonas

the car only has shorter ratios depending on the gearbox selected equiped y1/ys1

yes thats true as the cable tranny's from the first B16's had quite long gears FD: 4.266, although many of the L3 tranny's from the ZC's in the EF's had a FD: 3.88, although some came with a FD: 4.25.

know that the ZC CRX equipped OEM LSD, my EG4 gear box has changed to ZC LSD gear box, close ratio than normal D series gear box.
