Understand the specs of a turbocharger

    Hey guys

A few things i have been wanting to knwo for ages but have never actually found out. How to know what all the specs and stats of a turbocharge are and what the acutally mean in reality, relate to physical size, performance, what size motors they are ment for and what so of power curves you would expect (nutshell - responsive small boost kick, or laggy big boost kick)

here is an example of a turbocharger i have been looking at and wondering if someone would be kind enough to explain what all the stats actually ment etc etc.

One of the things i dont grasp / understand at this point is turbo chargers with the same name seem to come in different ' trim' sizes, 'houseings', 'compressor wheels' etc etc

    Garrett Gt3071R - 450hp

    Turbine
    -Wheel: 56.5mm w/ 90 trim
    -Housing: 0.86 a/r
    -Internally Wastegated

    Compressor
    -Wheel: 71mm w/ 56 trim
    -Housing: .50 a/r
    -Inlet: 4.00"

    Thanks in adnvace guys
