i have a 94 vtir and i just booked my car in to have the following done.

xforce headers, i dont know a lot bout them but they were the only ones i could find for under $1,000

    high flow cat.

buddy club spec 2 cat back exhaust, very light and very loud i have been told.

apexi VAFC 2, piggie back computer/vtec contoller.

any one done these mods and had it on the dyno??

any experience with any of these brands

also im hearing a lot bout the cold air intake and blah blah, i had a look in my air box and its already got a stock pod style filter, and cold air intake to just infront of the front right wheel........how do i up grade my cold air intake is it worth it or should it just stay as it is with a better filter??

one more thing im thinking bout getting a skunk 2 intake manifold, ment to flow a bit better then stock.......any one using aftermarket intake manifold?? becides a 5k quad throttle???

    thanks for any help

Stock Ait Box: If you keep your stock box.. take off the resonator tank the pipe from the air box goes into there..

X force are ok.. but even type R ones would be better. Things are expensive for a reason, the best headers by far are the toda extrators, there a work of art, and or custom headers from dyno dave or razz tech.
Simple rules to make any engine run better…. Cold air into the engine, nice flowing exhaust out of the engine, and lots of tuning both fuelling and ignition with a powerful tuneable ECU.

Any more power and you should look at intake manifolds, cam’s springs, followed by head work and then the bottom end.

Stock intake, with x force extractors plus a VAFC hmm not that much difference than stock… bc you can’t tune more power into the engine where it’s required.. plus intake would be a huge restriction.

You get what you pay for. Expensive headers are expensive for a reason. Our sponsors JDMYard (tanghy and z10) can source you Spoon or Apexi headers pretty cheap, you should get in contact with them.

thanks for that ill give one of them a call,

with the resonator i took of the molding round the wheel arch and had a look soo piping goes from the bottom of the air box to the bottom of the resonator then up to the inside of the engine bay.

does the resonator drop right out??? also should i just rig some pipe from the pipe in the botom of the resonator to the front bar and also keep the pipe that runs up inside the engine bay? cause it seems like one big pipe......

or should i get some of that flexy pipe shit from auto barn and run it from the bottom of the air box squeeze it in there then run it to the front bar.

    thanks

Sico, if ur using genesis, u should really speak to them about what mods ur going to do, as they should have an answer as to what u need, what direction ur car wants to go, what avenues to use, etc etc. A good workshop will always be better advice cos they will know ur car.
