lol, thats different.. a fresh idea i guess.
yeah, talk about diggin up an old thread...

why bother paying someone to do the labour required for a J-spec front-end? Do-it-yourself! You'll save so much money, get to know your car maybe a lil more, be proud of what you have achieved and have fun.

Im in the process of gathering bits and pieces for the J-spec/JDM front end swap. (yes there's goin to be another jap front dc2r on our roads but this one's goin to be BLACK). As I am in no rush to do the conversion, im just sitting back waiting for bargains to pop up so that i can snap them up right away .As soon as i have all the parts, i'll be sitting my car in the garage while it gets a new face.

in terms of parts alone, expect to pay anywhere between $900-$1300 (depending on conditions of part whether 2nd hand or new). I dont' think its worth it if you're going to have to pay another $1000 just for labour.

Apparently the JDM radiator/bumper support is the trickiest part of the conversion. Some welding involved and maybe a few holes here and there (not 100% certain, this is just what i have gathered from previous posts and some people who have done the conversion already). Everything else is pretty much 'swap and go'.

Hope this helps/motivates/explains stuff in regards to a JDM front end conversion.
