    Pics of EP3 Civic Type R

    Hi guys,

    Thought you might like to see what will eventually be my next drive car. Arrives in Australia this week in Brisbane. It's an '01 model with 69000km on it. Looks like it will be some fun.

    While I won't disclose what I paid for mine, they look like costing around $26K landed and complied (add a new set of tyres then normal rego costs to that). Given these are now eligible for import, it might be a possible option for those of you looking unsuccessfully for EK9s...

    On a separate note, I've got an application in for Integra Type R sedans (DB8), so should hear back if they're also eligible for import too soon.

    I actually drove a Pulsar VZ-R N1 the other day, for those who know what it is, so it will be interesting to compare the two.

    wow nice!!!! who's doing your compliance work and is it a real hassle etc?
    Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent..... 14% of people know that.

    Shogun are doing the compliance, and it's not really a hassle so much as a slow process, mainly because of Canberra inspectors being understaffed. Could be 6 months before it hits the road, although I'm obviously hoping it's quicker than that.

    Apart from import approval what involvement has Canberra had?
    i know when I imported EF9 they only gave import approval and air con approval etc..

    Because it's the first of its type, Canberra inspectors will come and inspect the car themselves to make sure it complies with all relevant ADRs. Emissions testing is the first step.

    chicken8, in very rough terms, you'd be looking at $16K for the car itself, $6K for shipping, customs duties and GST and then $4k for compliance.
