Having a CAI vibrates the engine more than normal yeah?
Would this lessen the life of the engine, cause things to loosen up, etc..?

No, it doesn't vibrate the engine. In fact, Steve's Euro with the Injen was smoother than my stock intake. LOL.

Resonator is made for the stock airbox. If you are comparing vibrations using the stock airbox with and without the resonator, then yes, at above 5000rpm.

If you are comparing a CAI and the stock airbox without the resonator, then the CAI is smoother. Same with the Comptech Icebox, when you change the lid and add the intake pipe, the booming noise disappears.

SRI on the other hand... I think the SRI has more vibration over all the configurations, except maybe the stock airbox without resonator.

K&N is longer, so the filter sits lower than the injen. But, I think the K&N tube is of a larger diameter.

How much do these cost to get installed 'professionally'?

i'm not too sure how much it'd cost.
but i wouldn't spend money on getting that done.
maybe find some one who is willing to get it done for ya.

just spend abit of time looking at the DIY's, but then again, you may be a busy person.

yeah it wouldnt be worth the extra money to get someone else to install it for you.... if you arent that mechanically minded, maybe its worth a carton to someone in your area from ozhonda, just a thought
