    man this thread is what i need i believe. lol the new owner of my car suffered the same problem as he was about to open the door =( it had like a sound that something snapped and the door has o much freeplay. inside it wont open either.

    so john u just wind the window down u tried to pull it up or something?

    Lol reminds me of this one time me and my GF were running late for a movie. Parked and went to get out but doors wouldn't unlock so we were trapped in the car. Got home and had to pry the door trim off while the door was closed. Didn't bust any clips though. Ended up being both central locking actuators dying and jamming up at the same time. What are the chances of that....

    2 open the door, make sure no1s around.
    And put the key in and jerk the door handle which twisting the key for a few seconds and lucky if teh door opens.
    Thats what i did.
    LOL

    then sold it to my friend n he put a alarm with central locking in it n it fixed the problem.

    roflmao john. u funny boi. i got it open thanx to zico n johns advice
    didn't try ur way du lol i tohught it would be easier if i had the trim away ahah.

    got the rods replaced n seems to have fixed it
