Genuine parts( service items)are reasonable price. Why bother going non genuine particularly if car is in warranty!!

At the moment, the only thing aftermarket has been engine oil. But when it is time for my brake pads to be replaced, no way am I going back to the Honda ones. They are very bad (for the Euro). Usually people go to supercheap and buy that $40 special pads, which are totally crap. I'll be getting proper adhesion/abrasive pads which should maintain braking friction up to high temperatures.

Anyway, I change my own pads.

I cant see anyone bagging dealers here! My comment was actually a good rap for Alan Mance Melton. Whats more the SA didn't bag other dealers either.

As for genuine parts, yes to the oil filters, brake pads and other hardware items but wiper blades and the small stuff non genuine will not affect warranty or compromise the car.

If you like the dealer and have positive feedback, post the name. If it is negative, then go through PM.

OEM brake pads are crap.Go some good high perf. street pads.I did,BIG difference. Wiper blades i'd go OEM.They fit exactly, last a long time, work well and how often do you change them anyway??

Just had 40,000k service in Great western Honda in Kingswood. It's quite far. Charged me $390. It's cheapest price i found so far. Artarmon honda quoted me $900, rip off.

I have to change front disc rotors coz they have brake shudder. but it's free.

how much is the trade price (wholesale) for the oil filter, do they mean air filter when they say air cleaner element? how much is that anyway (would it be more cost effective to get the hks panel filter?), what type of brake fluid do you's reccomend, and manual trasmission fluid, engine oil im gonna get motul. and if i provide them all that should i just be paying for the labour? if so how much do they charge an hour? thanks...one more thing... has anyone else got a euro with 120klicks on it or am i the first??
