Nankang NS2 vs Falken fk451 vs Kumho ecsta supra 712
hi guys
i need your advice regarding tire selection

I own a 2005 civic 4 doors model
and i am using an 18 inch rims

since the car is lowered the two tires on the back kinda wear out in the inner side

i previously used falken fk451 215/35/18
after getting an advice from a mechanical shop
that tempetyres provided the cheapest tyres on sydney i then went to tempetyres

they had 3 215/35/18 profile tyres

1) Nankang NS2 AUD150
2) Falken FK451 AUD175
3) Kumho 712 Ecsta Supra AUD200

after dealing with the salesguy in the counter he advised me that the kumho are superior than the falkens which i had previously and the kumho is more expensive that the falkens
so i trusted the guy and opted for the 712 kumhos
however after doing some research on the net

i was wondering whether tempetyres in sydney gives me the wrong pricing and advice?
which one is better the kumhos or the falkens?

need advice since i only changed the 2 rear tyres
and will be changing the front one soon

Can't really recommend on the tyres....but can I ask do you have a camber kit installed? If not I would recommend that you get a set, it might keep you from having uneven wear so quickly and save you some money in the long run.

i havent got a camber kit installed.
was thinking of getting a camber kit but dunno what is approximately the cost of installing one.?
any enlightment anyone?

whiteline has a kit for about $180 so does eibach...not too sure on the cost of having it installed though. I plan to have everything installed together at once to save on labour.

camber kits are piss easy to install

u can do it urself, and im not sure bout price, but i think they are less than $100

but, this guy has an 05 7th gen civic, ther are no camber kits for this model

all those camber kits mentioned previously are for ek, eg, etc, not es

after market parts are hard to come buy for the 7th gen civic

unless they from america, but then thats a whole other story

how much have u lowered the car by?

wat did u use to lower?

and i think u should go for a smaller aspect ratio coz i dont think the current tyre choice is goin to maintian the stock rolling diameter......therefore inaccurate speedo

eg, i think 215/30R18, is a better choice, but im not sure, ull have to check

i thought camber kits would cost me more than 300bucks...
i have an idea
since the inner tyres on the rear wheels are more worn that the outside
im thinking of removing the tyres from the rims and swap it left to right
and right to left...
this way i dont have to buy new tyres everytime only the inner side is worn out
and i can get even wear
do you know much does it cost to do normal tyre balancing?

The kits and prices I mentioned are for 01 - 05 civic available here. There are other kits on ebay available but then you gotta include shipping so it works out to be the same...
