							Hey everyone
I have just purchased a 96 vtir with 178000 on the clock, now i have come here for with afew quick easy questions.

 Did they come with lsd???
What oil should i be putting in it, probably semi-synthetic but what viscosity??
What gearbox oil should i put in??
 Spark plugs?
 Brake fluid?
Anything else that i should do as i just bout the car and want to change it all and get it fresh.

Is the honda oils and stuff good or should i use other brands??

 Cheers people.

OEM is best for Stock motors. And you're better asking that question with "are" at the front, not "is"

1 - No they dont.2 - Honda FEO if you can, if not 5-30, or 10-30 is good for the car.
3 - Honda MTF. If the box is crunchy u can use a redline shockproof oil. Some ppl use engine oil.
 4 - NGK's.
 5 - Not sure, i think i have motul.
6 - Check the timing belt, disc rotors, pads, fuel filter etc.

Honda stuff is very good for your honda.

Do some searching around here, thats probably the best advice i can give u.

 edit - beaten.

 Cheers

I'll just add to what the others haved said.
Did they come with lsd??? No. The jap models (sir) had this as an option, but the australian models didn't come with it.

What oil should i be putting in it, probably semi-synthetic but what viscosity?? 10w 30 is the recommended viscosity. It's really personal preference. I'm using Honda oil atm, but have used Mobil 1, castrol R synthetic, Shell Helix.

What gearbox oil should i put in?? Honda MTF

Spark plugs? NGK: part number BKR 6E N11

Brake fluid? Dot 3 or 4 depends on your brake set up. I'm using a castrol gp brake fluid - but I have a better brake set up.

Is the honda oils and stuff good or should i use other brands?? Yes honda fluids are good, but its up to you. You can try other brands as well.

Other stuff, is just regular maintenance
