    Vicroads will tell you it's legal as long as it's not an open pod in the engine bay, it is NOT illegal to install a pod in the car, it's the way it's installed and then like the rest have mentioned, sometimes the cops will get you done for having a pod... The buffer between the law and enforcement of the law itself is a thin line....

    A cop can do you for having an after market panel filter unless he clearly knows it's an oiled filter simple as that.

    how about if you have an aftermarket intake system.. but your pod has a cover like in da pic above.. is dat illegal or legal?

    er.. but standard filters are oiled aren't they?
    when they are fresh in the packet, you take em out, touch it, it's oiled.
    that's genuine honda.

    No their not.... they are dry, at least for our Accords (both CL9 and CD4)

    eh, when i opened a s2k one, it was oiled, same as my civic one.

    S2k is different. That is a highflow cone. Check out the filters on the lower end family range Hondas. hehe.

    and my civic one i said was oiled.
    either way, it's a standard filter, that is oiled.
    lol.

    Fellas!!! your all barkin up the wrong tree. Just email/ring your local RTA. They'll have the info you need.
