ok.... is the problem the actual removable lighter part or is it the electronics behind the console?

try cleaning the centre bit of the removable part (scratch of any shit with a coin or metal brush). i know mine doesnt work sometimes just because the connections get dirty

edit: you can check which part isnt working if u have and car adapter phone chargers etc. --> if the adapters are getting power then it the removable part that isnt working)

It could also be the metal prongs that connect with the lighter once it's pushed in. If cleaning doesn't work, look down the barrel of the lighter (the part installed in the car) and look for the prongs.
They should be what's basically a bent metal rectangle that runs along the bottom and up the sides. Use a screwdriver or whatever to pull themmore into the middle, to ensure good contact once the lighter is inserted.

I can take a pic if you'd like.

Chances are its the fuse. Alot of the dodgey cigarette lighter charges can cause the fuse to blow, especially if its in there while you're cranking the engine.

15 amp fuse could be the answer.

As Rasputin said but make sure you have the ignition off unless you want to short it out. This often happens when you use a phone charger.

    i had same problem aswell

didn't bother trying fixing it but then i spliced the wire bechind the lighter to use a power source then reconnected it and now it works a treat lol
