Dave is going to shoot you for suggesting that... just leave it - too much effort was put into that one engine to **** it for a turbo kit, let alone the high comp nature. Get him to build a seperate motor for boost...
B20Vtec's are easy to build with STD rods/ARP rod bolts and PHK pistons (B20B8) with the valves reliefs done they are a great all round engine and will spin to 8400rpm all day, the cyl head and boltons are where the power comes from and this is where the costs build up.My last STD piston/conrod engine made 121kw with STD B16a head combo and 146kw with P72 ported head full supertech valve train,Buddyclub spec5 cams,725cc injectors,E85,Toda header with 2.5" exhaust,Edelbrock Performa X manifold with 68mm Omni TB and a copied Mugen intake setup. When you work out the cost of this type of engine the if you have no parts at all and are doing a conversion it really is cheaper to go K engine in the long run.The one issue with a B engine is gearing and this is where the K has it all over the B or any other Honda FWD engine.
The life of a 4 stroke engine
It sucks it squeezes it bangs it blows
