modding is required. You need to take the back metal plate off the DC5 rear seats and replace it with the EG rear metal plate. Aint hard at all, just need to take off the fabric and cushioning from the DC5 rear seat and move it all onto the EG rear metal back plate. As for the bottom sitting part, where will be a pretty large gap on each side. If you want, you can put sponge on the side. Then its pretty much straight fit. We did it to my cousins EK which is pretty much the same as an EG.

DC2 seats will bolt straight up, but the bottom piece will have gaps on either side and on the back part of it.

If you are particular with the gaps you can consider getting DB8's rear seat. It will bolt straight on without gap. But hard to find. Or you might want to use DC2R back rest and DB8 seat
Rep me if you think it is mechanically sound

the best way is using DC2R back rest, and EK9 seat.
it will be perfect fit without gaps...
