    Attn; Late model accord owners.

For all you late model Accord Euro owners who want to install an aftermarket headunit, Best Kits (Peripheral aka Stinger) have developed this kit to replace the standard binnacle:

They go for around $75 I believe.

I'm not sure whether you're joking there or serious but seeing as there is a lack of smilies I'l assume you're serious. The main reason people change the system over is that to an audiophile the factory accord system is dreadful.

The headunit is very noisy (except with a zero signal) and it's S/N ratio is quite low. This results in quite a lot of hiss and whine through the speakers. The factory speakers are inadequately fed and cannot reproduce accurate midbass without the decks internal amplifier loosing control due to an extremely low damping factor in order to squeeze a little more volume from it.

All in all, a fantastic system for your average (music wise) Joe but to someone who is padantic about high end audio, the factory unit simply does not cut it.

you can also get a kit to control aftermarket decks from steering wheel.

Was expensive tho i think, considering that with the above mentioned single din kit fitted, when ur hand is on the gearstick the deck is within reach.

    as posted in ipod thread

the factory cd etc is all still fully powered and displays as normal, but no sound comes out.

I use it as a 6 disc cd holder for my tune selection.
