I cant say I have seen any pics of a Euro owner who has installed Sat Nav. However these days there are many options for fitting Sat Nav. I have a IPAQ connected to a bluetooth GPS receiver which does my turn by turn Sat Nav for me. It is just stuck to the windscreen using a suction cup. The Navman PiN devices that Honda are selling for around $1000 (or less if you shop around) will do the same job.
Another option is to install a flip out screen in the dash outputting Sat Nav. Very pricy doing it this way though...
I agree with big dongers a gps in pocket pc is way more portable and typically less pricy than going in dash, i suppose its all about bling though
i will soon be getting a pocketpc gps satnav (navman pin 3000 i think its called) you can get things like that for a bout $800, but more comprehensive units come in at about 1000, with the indash ones i thing coming in at 1500+ (last time i checked), plus you need a tv screen etc,
goto places like calculator king or pda world
or expansys etc are great places
google for "navman pin" to see whats around, you can jump from there probobly
when i bought my honda, i enquired abt the Honda sat Nav..its a $4000 option from honda...
i ended up getting the Navman icn635.
but i'm thinking of selling it cause its under utilised..
well i read some article about in car PC.. and i know my friend in overseas does this.
They put touch screen in/on dash.
the pc also conected to the screen and to your headunit for the speaker output..
The PC allow us to play dvd, music etc etc.
Also, there is GPS receiver connected to the PC by USB. and get a GPS software installed in the pc.
overall it will cost about 2k but u already have complete incar entertaiment with the GPS.
If i got $1 every time a customer asked me if sat nav was an option i would be rich. The thing is Honda Australia arnt licenced to have it...ive been told its a $2mil investment.. time will tell
