Check your VIN on your Euro. On my Euro, it's CL9.

CL9 = Japan Domestic Market Honda Accord = Australian Domestic Market Honda Accord Euro

CL7 = Japan Domestic Market Honda Accord Euro R

To tell the difference, the CL7 (Euro R) has a 2.0 litre 220hp engine (same as the Integra Type R and S), Recaro seats and all the nice stuff like alloy pedals and LSD. I heard that it has Satellite Navigation built in as well and uses that larger screen that you can see in the manual for our Euro (I think the Type A radio).

Yummm... a CL8 with a supercharger... double yum......

But I guess they didn't bring the CL8 over here because of cost reasons, and also that AWD system would surely sap what little torque that is left from that K20A engine... 155hp, but only about 186Nm torque I think. FI in a requirement....

Just noticed that the JDM spec CL9 has 232Nm torque compared to our 223Nm. I don't buy the "difference in fuel quality" story, because the new Type S engine has the same bore and stroke, uses the same premium here in OZ, same compression, yet more power. Unless they are giving away freebies with internal polishing or lightening, I reckon they can bring that 200hp JDM model and give it to us straight away. Notice that we get K24A3, while USA and Japan gets K24A2? They are shortchanging us! In 3 more years when the minor-model upgrade happens, I'd bet they'd woo potential buyers and upgraders with that extra 13hp.
