CUSCO Tower Bar (for CL9 NOT 7) installed

just installed the tower bar got it from last week.

here is how i do it...
P.S. i am not a professional... so if there are any mistake. pls correct me.

    1. un-tight a little bit the bolts on the tower bar which holds
the blue part (both side). so you able to adjust the angle of
it when you put it in

    2. un-tight these 3 bolts in your car. (both side)

    3. put the bar in place

    4. here are pic on the driver's side. you can see is very
    close to the holes.

    5. the cusco manual says you can un-tight these 2 bolts
to adjust the holes about 3mm away from the tower bar.
    (but i couldnt do tat)

    6. so instead move the holes, i put some felt on the holes to
    stop they touch each other.

    7. use your hand to put the bolts back in place (both side)
**push the silver part down and tight the screws again using your
hand until you can't turn the bolts anymore**
then now you can use tools to tight it. remember dun over tight it,
otherwise you will snap the bolt.

    8. NOW tight the screws on the tower bar (both side)

    9. the sticker

here are some of the pic

the guy that i bought the tower bar from saids there is only this model from cusco for CL9 at the moment. he also have cusco anti-roll bar for CL9 and lower arm brace for CL9.
==P.S. you can't fit CL7 lower arm brace on CL9==

i know Feel's(Japan) has carbon-Fibre tower bar for CL7... not sure it will fit CL9 or not... since read some of the post saying spoon CL7 tower bar have problem to fit in CL9. but i will ask the salesman in japan later.

    Nice work!

It is great to see people mod their car and take pics along the way

Now that it is installed - can you give us some feedback on your impressions of this mod?

Is that photo before or after you have tightened the nuts down. I ask because I just installed my brace and when tightened the brace is definately touching (just) the air con pipe. I put felt like other people have recommended. Does anyone forsee any problems with it just touching the aircon pipe?

Has anyone successfully moved the aircon pipe a few mm like the cusco instructions state?

when the aircon pipe is touching the strut brace, they will rub against each other all the time during movement, so it'll be bad for the aircon pipe. Honda won't cover under warranty if the pipe is damaged because of the strut brace.
