    american style mirrors

    I've just recently bought CF side mirrors from ebay and realised that its American style and therefore i can't see ANY cars while driving, very dangerous i know! and thats y i need advise/help on how to fix it....its a manual one and ive tried adjusting it in every direction and still can't see properly ...

    thats the exact one i bought lol..its blue tinted..looks awesome! but yea


    any ideas on how to fix it?

    how much was it posted down to aus ? and how long did it take?

    All you have to do is take the mirror to a glass shop and get them to cut a panel of glass which can then be stuck over the top. Happens alot with the Jap. spec cars as their mirrors are concave and ours are convex (or the other way around). Note, as I was told, to get a roadworthy you need to swap the glass to the original shape (concave/convex) that came on the vehicle.

    Don't fink it will work, cos one side is different shape to the other side..i paid $200 AUS and it took 2 weeks

    What glass shops? can't think of any? lol ...Im not sure wat u mean by 'cut a panel'? how does that help me see better?

    I dont think you are located in Melbourne are you?

    Go to a store that sells windows/glass and they will usually also sell mirrors = 'glass shop'. They will be able to cut a piece of mirror for you that is the opposite of what you have in there now (ie concave for example).
