    Hey guys, just wondering when the series 2 vti-r was released?

    What are the main differences between the two?

    not sure of the exact date but the series 2 integra gsi/vtir came out in 97/98

    new front bumper and rear bumper, front lights slightly different and rear lights amber colour changed to a very light clear/amber colour
    vtir wheels changed as well
    motors are the same
    not sure if interior trim changed...

    gsi eventually lost the sunroof and got alloys in late 99 i think?

    As FANATK said...

    Interior updated ie. pattern on seat, velour colour, etc..

    1997+ had engine immobliser, a tad heavier (i think??) and different exhaust tip.

    don't quote me on this

    but S1 has 1 airbag, S2 has 2
    S1 has no cruise control, S2 has cruise control
