Accord to insurance, it will be seen as a bodykit. Because, well it is..

There are a few kits out, there was one on here a while ago. Do a search for who was selling it. I think the guys name was Type_G or something?

~$4k when i was looking into it, HID's maybe a little bit more, probably work out better to buy a JDM R half cut, for $8-9k and sell off the other bits to get some money back

Yes - JDM halfcut is the way to go for cost efficiency.

BUT if you were willing to spend the money it's cheaper to go

    Spoon CF bonnet
    Spoon CF lip
    C-WEST JDM front bar
then get all the other OEM lights/support stuff

    re

but where can get one in melb?
    which wreckers will be good?

these stuff are rare. And even you managed to get them at the local wreaker you are gonna pay at a premium price and don't forget to factor cost of paint work requirement for the whole project

    re

so that's mean this is just a dream work

    as i own a 2000 DC2R,i won't sell it and buy a 96 JDM version instead!!!!

it up to you to think -> if its a dream or not. some of the blokes locally have done those conversion. at the end it boils down to money and how much you want to get it done.

as for going for the jdm 96 ITR. pls be informed that there are only a couple that came in as private import, there are still heaps of those floating from rebuilts.
Question is, if you ain't worry abt rebuilts, then either will not affect ur choice in buying...but for me IMHO, why buy a JDM 96 ITR, why go backwards?

btw other than looking out for the HID ballast unit, you don't need me to point out as to how to spot a 96 hid-less headlight from a 98 spec hid headlight do you?

anyway if you did need to know. search is ur friend
