hahah the D was too old and not enough potential though it was a GREAT motor !! if anyone wants to buy the D it's going cheap

Not dyno'd yet.. will do soon after I've done intake and timing and plugs etc..

Intake is just my old D-series tube so it's WAAAAYYY too small in diameter, and my old K&N Filter has seen better days.. Am doing an OEM airbox setup - ducted into bottom of box with HKS panel filter if I use the Si airbox, or a TRUST filter if I use the ITR air-box.. I already have the ITR airbox, but no intake tube..

Other engine mod is just a 2.5" cat-back mandrel bent system with N1-style canister muffler - whoever says 2.5" is too big for B16A is wrong..

I didnt use my air-con all last summer - the fan was broken, so I figured I dont need it.. I've left al lthe plumbing in-tact so I can re-install the A/C in summer if it's too hot.. bt for now, I dont need it.. is just weight I been pulling around.

and yeah who knows might boost the B16.. will have to see where i'm at in 6 months time.. at this stage I will be staying N/A but who knows if I get bored HAHAA

Reminds me when i got my B16a into my white EG engine bay after a handful of dramas like yourself..

I had a breeze, so i got aircon PUT IN, but you originally had it but took it out!! lol..
I dunno wat the summers are like in perth but here in melb i need aircon :P

hmm so what should be my first power-getter mods ?

Header is out of the question as my swap budget got blown out of the water, but what else can I do to the B ??

I think it's running on the original OEM plugs still, and I am a big fan of these plugs, so will probably just remove them, then clean and gap the plugs befpoore re-installing them - my OEM D-series plugs were good for 180,000Kms with servicing.

I am adding some redline fuel system cleaner and doing the plugs ASAP, what else can I do - what have you guys done ? ignition ? fuel delivery etc..

also what RPM do you guys launch at ? have had trouble getting used to it ( only had vtec for 2 nights tho I guess ) but a mate in EK4 smoked me last night and one of his launches I noticed was minor wheelspin, but like 1m after taking off he hit VTEC !! this made a huge difference being B16A vs. B16A it was essentially a race to who could get into VTEC first HAHAAH..

    DONT PUT FUEL CLEANER IN!!!

I did it and if fouled my plugs 3 times!!! Its shit house stuff... if you want to clean your fuel system, take it to a professional.

PS nice work... Still dunno why you didnt do it yourself though.
