bought a new daily a black 95 eg4 gli the other week and so far have modified the throttle body and intake for a bit of induction note fixed all the little dings that you would usually find on a car of its age have fitted a set of lowered shocks and springs from my last civic build put a set of xxr522 rims and tyres bought and fitted a type r style front lip fitted my aerotec race buckets and undercoated the whole car except the bonnet now its looking pretty sweet just need to pick a colour to paint it and get a d16y1 head to do a mini me and i will be happy not sure how to post pics up but anybody who lives on the southside of brisbane will see it around

Went to a exhaust shop and they told me that this exhaust will fit but it's big compared to oem exhaust. Do you reckon it will be a problem to fit this exhaust. I do not see a big diference compared to the oem exhaust. they want 100$ to fit it.

^^^ $100 is about the right price to fit an exhaust as they would have to modify it slightly... As much as it "looks" the same, it probably hangs on a slightly different angle etc, this can cause many problems.. Ask them what do they have to do to fit it, then bargain them.. haha Exhaust places usually dont' charge much if u know exactly what you want done.

Goodluck man! Sell my your spoiler!

had some time during the weekend to remove power steering assy, torque mounts on driver and passenger side, also heater box and blower setup,

you took the power steering off. how does it feel with out one. Have your tried putting air breather for the power steering. I Am not into power steering anymore, the car feel like a toy with PS.

hey man,, i have driven damienm egk24 which operates without power assist feels much better in a track car,
i have driven cars without power assisted steering for many years, it's not hard just over exxagerated for some people,

i haven't looped the lines or put a breather, but i think i'll be putting fluid in the rack bleeding the manual rak up and looping the lines,,

also purchased block off plugs to blank up the existing heater hoses from motor.
didnt have to buy them man could of went to wreakers or if u had spare head like me you can undo it and use it as the block off
Remove the water outlet in the the head (use a socket or ring spanner, not a shifter)
Replace water fitting with B-Series rocker shaft plug
-10mm allen drive found is 3 places on B-series vtec head - 2 cam belt end, 1 dissy end
These plugs share the same fine thread as the water outlet in the head so is/are a direct replacment that neatly solves the head side of the issue.

Buddyclub cap, 1.3kpa, top hose changed bottom hose fine (my set didn't work). Coolant is fine now. I think there's some air still trapped in there because i didn't jack the front of my car up while doing the 'let-radiator-kick-in-twice' bleeding procedure.

na-118
19-11-2011, 01:00 AM
no need,, just leave radiator cap undone ,, wait till thermostat kicks in and top up coolant if neccessary repeat process if required

So redo the bleeding procedure? I'll just park up a slope and do it just in case. Also, my driver's side door latch actuator shat itself. **** my life.

na-118
19-11-2011, 01:04 AM
yeah redo bleeding procedure,, you can also use the bleed nipple if you don't wana do radiator cap styles,,

park on slope why can't you do even surface?

Glocker
19-11-2011, 01:10 AM
park on slope equivalent to jacking front of car up lol. I did the last air bleeding on pretty even ground so I just wanna make sure this time.

na-118
19-11-2011, 01:16 AM
but why would you need to jack vehicle up?

Glocker
19-11-2011, 01:26 AM
My reasoning is that car only heats when at constant rpm/load going up the hill, therefore the air pockets will start to collect at the top of the radiator blocking coolant from cycling through the radiator system. I think that may be the cause of my previous engine's demise...going up the hills at newy freeway, over heat, top hose burst, probably from all the pressure of the coolant trying to force itself into the radiator. Also, air lighter than coolant, easier to escape if radiator filler neck is the highest point of the car.

I told him to jack the front up so all the air will come out.

not necessary, but he has problems and he is trying to eliminate what isn't wrong. jacking it up is fail proof.

which way is it spinning. Should be drawing air from front to back.

@ a stand still, shouldn't matter.

If you're having that much trouble, it's not bubbles or anything small, it's definitely BHG imo.

Fan has blue and red wires, my plug from the OEM fan has black wire and a blue one with a black stripe down the centre. I soldered the blue to the blue and black to the red.

pull the bumper outwards. then bend the liner. push it back in. or... use a flathead screw driver lever it in. make sure you have a cloth on the head so it doesnt scratch.

I found that there's a way to do it for mine. Try inserting the top corner first cause its slightly more flexible. Once you get an edge in, the rest should be easy to push in. Don't try to push the entire edge in at once though.
