The guy who wrote that was Viet...
I drove my Teg today. Starting to come to grips with the manual. Felt very good driving it.
I also decided on selling it next year and getting an S14.

I used to be a Holden fan as a kid, watching Brock race at Bathurst and all that, but with the amount of dickhead Commodore drivers around (they seem to be much worse than Falcon drivers), the fact that Ford make decent products like the Focus (and compete in WRC), the fact that I hate most other GM brands, and that we now own a Falcon wagon, I've definitely switched to preferring Ford. Never thought I'd say that, but Commodore drivers are just atrocious.
I love motorsport man, but V8's are seriously trash compared to F1. I always preferred Holden to Ford, but they're both like lawn mowers in comparison to Formula 1 :D
gonna try get some time this evening to begin removing the tegs transmission. gotta get the whole car off the ground first lol.
yo Tim spotted a white JDM front DC2R yesterday at Floriade. Was like wow am I still in Canberra? Had NSW plates though.
haha thats awesome! rare as fk to see one of those here. probably drove down from sydney lol.
I also saw a jdm front today! 4 lug FTW haha
Spent all afternoon cleaning the car and its forecast to rain tomorrow... **** my life.
^^ Haha hate when that happens, catch the bus tommorow and leave the car in the garage :p
also saw a jdm front today, 411-diy :p
Got no garage plus staying at my gf's all week. Luckily I bought a water proof cover, its going to sit under that lol.
i took a iphone pic of mine.

useless.
Tynan have me booked in first thing in the morning :)
New ecu?
Honda dealerships/spare parts are ALWAYS hopeless, unless you get the rare guy who actually knows what he's on about.
yeah, i never really realised... only went to rick damelian whilst car under warranty, now outn of warranty, hello Top One... only going back to honda for their honda dianostic tool.
O2 sensor arrived after nearly a month...
Also what you guys think of this? this guys open to swaps for wait for it... AUTOMATIC!

I'm curious as to how he's gonna provide a RWC... and if i was to sell that car how i would get one!
Just worried about legalities and defects etc down the track. Especially with uni i don't have time to go around reverting back to stock, clearing defects, wasting money. Stock parts aren't included in the sale either
If it's engineered like be says, it won't be a problem. Well up here in Queensland atleast. I could take that car to the guy I usually got RWC's from and he'd pass it. 90% of that car is OEM lol. Even the suspension.
DO EEEET.
i say go for it charlie, that thing would fly!
The car would be considered 'legal' (sort of) if engineered however i wouldn't be able to legally drive it. So if i ram the back of a GTR i'm gone, insurance won't pay out. Decisions...!
New royal purple + Honda mtf today
lol ive seen this car in a workshop. it looks pretty clean
Fuarkk to jack my car up, gotta scissor jack the side to get the front high enough to slide trolley jack under. Then have to jack the rear up using scissor jacks while fronts lifted to be able to fit jack stands. Same thing backwards to take car down for both sides :( really need a lower jack that lifts higher, can barely fit my head under the damn car.
anyone got tips on how to change o2 sensor for the teg? i dont have a big enough wrench, toolset only goes up to 19mm. and its on hella tight + rust
drive onto some planks of wood.
use wd7 or whatever it is on the thread bit.
got a shifter thats big enough?
remember that brute force wont undo things, its shocking the thing that will undo it
Driving onto planks of wood only solves the firs tproblem, still doesn't jack high enough to allow jack stands to fit under. Maybe drive back wheels onto wood too?
Don't have a shifter, don't have 22mm open end wrench. Can't even brute force the lil shit, can only apply torque pretty much from my fingers, can't even use forearm
oh and also do i need to disconnect battery before i do this shit? i forgot today and unplugged the sensor oops
if u cant get it on stands to get under it properly to get enough leverage dont bother.
just do what I did and drop that whole part of the header out, go and get yourself the right size spanner from supercheap for like $8. Then step on the pipe, use your weight and TURN IT LIKE A MUTHAFKA.
wd40 also helps to release it.
What I did to my integra tonight:
removed the stock intake manifold and throttle body because this baby came in the mail today:
http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/s...r/photo-24.jpg
although this is exciting, taking the stock manifold of was THE BIGGEST PAIN IN THE ASS.
the PCV valve broke when I pulled it out too, god dammit.
YESSSS!!!
Make sure you scrape off EVERY SINGLE remnant of the old manifold gasket off the head. Razor blade works well.
And be very mindful of your knock sensor. The plug off the OEM manifold which is deleted when putting the S2 manifold on is in same section of harness as the knock sensor. When I did the swap I accidentally snapped my knock sensor in half. Limp mode is no fun :/
Yup. I would get a right size spanner (shifters can be dodgy), put it on the sensor, hold it tensioned and then bash the end of the spanner with a hammer. Failing that, slot some long metal piping over the spanner and either turn and or tension and bash again. I stripped an entire car down to its bare chassis using these techniques. Remember, leverage is your friend..

check out what someone else did my car today and obviously, did not leave a note. any hints on how i can fix it up myself? don't have the cash for full bar respray, just want a cheap backyard repair so it doesn't look as bad.
Is it dented or just chips of paint ? If you want it really cheap just sand it back, prime, then get some colour code mixed up from autobarn, mask it up then spray ?
Worth a try, would look better then what it is now haha. I actually have some spots like this on my bumper i still gotta try fix up.
If i get some paint soon, ill try it first haha then show you some pictures :3
I wouldnt imagine getting it sprayed would cost too much if you prep it yourself. Regardless, that sucks man.
thats max 200$ fix at apanel beater mate, if i were you, i would just save up and just fix it properly.
if ur in melb i can refer u to a place.
i'm in sydney.. i might sand it back myself, and see if i can get it quoted at a panel beater or just DIY...
the plastic is a bit broken on the bottom hit next to the amber.
see how it's cracked all the way up to the headlight, i'm going to peel all that paint off and sand all of that right?
good excuse for facelift front bar
Success! o2 sensor came out after a while. Had to snip the wires and put a closed ended wrench over it. The stupid shifter i bought didn't do shit, kept sliding. Ended up bleeding with all cuts and bruises on my forearms and hands. The joys of DIY :D
Hopefully fuel economy gets better... just filled up and previous tank was 13.3L/100km WTF!
Went to check out my friends car today on the progress of his Integra getting resprayed...
It's all primed up and ready to get painted ;)
Attachment 20037Attachment 20038
Can't wait to see the results and when he gets his OEM Optional side skirts put on & rear pods.
Why no facelift front?
cos prefacelift > facelift
LOL my mate loves the pre-face (= haha

Hey guys opinions on this car? It looks clean as fk, but the high kms turning me off... looks like it was not owned and thrashed by a P plater. Asking a bit much for 180k
Looks nice as. Would offer him $9k as a starting point and go from there. Wouldn't really pay more than $10k for that.
There's also this one, same price, looks pretty clean too with 145xxx but located in Lukeyville
http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...01622&__Nne=15
May as well check that Rowville one out, mate. Just down the road from my place.
Really? Every time i head down that way i always get egged on by red P plater commos fresh from the carwash on corner of gladstone. The teg doesn't really look like a 'boy racer' car does it? Why does it attract morons!
thinkin of buying a daihatsu cuore as a cheap daily. found a clean one 108k, asking 3900 with rwc. they're so cute :o
Pay a little bit more and you can get a dc2r. You will be disappointed with a stock Vtir especially at those prices.
The various reasons as to why i'd prefer a dc2 over an R at this stage of my life would be insurance and theft/vandalism. Plus a vti-r is plenty of power for street.
i cleaned my new transmission housing today =)

Did you spray the wheels yourself? What colour were they originally?
gunmetal.
the DC2R looks better with the wing on in my view ..
anyways got new dizzy and vtec solenoid :)
Got my old transmission out of the car yesterday finally. it was pretty scary lowering it out as we weren't sure if it was gonna drop out all of a sudden or not but everything turned out ok. gonna install my exedy clutch and flywheel over this week and hopefully get the ITR transmisison in on the weekend.
just cut a hole in it lol DIY style
Im with aami and i pay ~1k maybe abit more for full comp. Agreed value is 14k yeah its pretty shit lol
You listed as primary driver? Or as an additional driver under parents? Age? PM me bro. ~1k is good as!
