the joys of modding NA cars lol, you really need to squeeze every bit of hp out. I myself want a header but I might have to hold off for a new exhaust since my mid pipe is in pretty bad condition.

Tried fitting my skunk2 mega power onto my ep3. Didn't fit. Damn American civics. How much would an exhaust shop charge to cut and re weld a section?
so if anyone see a guy in an EP3 with a really nice suit on.. then its most probably me! :D
I want toda headers too but $$$
Can't best the Kidd Racer header for value :)
I'll get toda soon.
I've got TODA. :D
I want a toda header as well =[ to bad i have to deposit 80% or my income into my bank or I would be destroyed by the gf lol~~
I just can't justify yet to pay that much for headers to our car when it doesnt do much yet.
Yeah i would most likely plan for a kpro and tune once you have the i/h/e combo.
Anyone here had any experience with Tegiwa? specifically their catback exhaust?
They're about $650 AUD landed..
http://www.tegiwaimports.com/tegiwa-...p3-01-06-3194/
they also do headers which are Toda replica's and about $650 landed as well... hmm tempting.
yeah i was thinking of jumping on the package they had but i couldnt think of an real reason to change my headers, as i would require a tune if i did =[
so i might just settle with a hi flow cat lol for the mean time, probably get a Sard one
Still a Boss to me lol~
i'll let you guys know if i can find a vendor, because the sard hi flow cat off the top of my head is made for the dc5r and might need to be stretched/pulled if we use the oem headers to connect to the cat-back i have to ask my mate Eric (bigbaby0223) as his the only one i know whos done it with oem headers
this is his review have a read

Guys, any final feedback before I go ahead an purchase the Tegiwa Catback? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eJaI0BqnaM&feature=plcp
http://www.tegiwaimports.com/tegiwa-...p3-01-06-3194/
At roughly $650 delivered, can't really complain. From the video, the exhaust doesn't seem too loud as well which is good.. more info can be found here if you're interested http://www.civinfo.com/forum/tegiwa-...-system-4.html
Just figured full catback system, $650 delivered and plus its not too loud when cruising but sounds good when giving it..tats what I'm after and it was like $400 for a xforce or Magnaflow axleback so this sounded the better option plus ppl on other forum seemed to like it. It's fairly new product but will give it a go.
I'll be also giving this short shifter a test as well: http://www.tegiwaimports.com/tegiwa-...shift-kit-158/
cool, just added.
That's me
is there an ep3 group on fb? may i join?
Just want to gather some thoughts. I'm thinking of going with Tegiwa headers which delete the cat. Other than being illegal which I'm not too concerned about... any strong advice why I shouldn't do it? Sorry about noob questions. I really don't know all that much about this stuff and just went to JDMYard and they suggested running without Cat.
is someones ep3 at performance exhaust center? I just called to enquire to see how much high flow cat actually cost and they said they just did a car with toda headers which removed the cat so they had to make customer cat etc..
Just gotta wait for my exhaust to come then I'll head down to see the boys...
w00t, Tegiwa Catback order placed and will be dispatched today... Should arrive in about 7-10 days.. Can't wait.. Dilemma.. To install the exhaust first and then decide whether I want headers or just go the full monty and get BYP to install headers and exhaust at the same time....?
can anyone recommend some touch up paint? some idiot bumped into my car yesterday... no idea who it was as I saw it this morning... it's nothing major, just a graze along the front bumper...
The paint code is NH-0 Championship white, you can ask a paintshop to make it for you in an aerosol form or you can get it in a small brush on form. If it's big i'd recommend a spray on as brush type will never look as good texture wise. Also paint does fade over the years in the sun so the touch up paint may turn out different to your bumpers. Car paint shops also sometimes use this computer thing that they put against your paint and it tries to match the colour.
Thanks. Is it something I can get from like supercheapauto or something?
All good. Just bought a touch up kit on eBay
I think autobarn makes up paint in aerosol can for $30
Also, do i need some special taylor to stitch up a small tear on my recaro seats? It's been there since i bought the car but looks like its getting bigger slightly... probs from wearing pants with the little button on it lol.
I'm considering buying this vehicle:
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...15&sort=~Price
Just wondering if anybody knows anything about it or if anybody else has looked at it. It is a personal import and has a few imperfections both inside and out, but still seems like good value.
Any feedback greatly appreciated.
This guy actually parked next to me when I was at Toowong shopping center and it looked VERY clean inside and out. It's also completely stock, a friend of mine (he also owns an EP3) test drove it and the owner was kind enough to let him vtec it.
Note that it's not a JDM version but the one that originally came straight from the UK, so it has the K20A2 engine (lower redline and a little less power) rather than the K20A engine that the JDM EP3 come with, no LSD, the spedometer also read more and was not limited at 180km/h. It's the premier edition EP3, few of the last ep3s ever made, so it's pretty much most the jdm ep3 options and features apart from red and black recaros and the differences stated.
Anyone know the order to bleed brakes on the EP3, also how much fluid would I need to get altogether including a clutch fluid flush?
Also, anyone know where I can find replacement side bolsters for the ep3 recaro seats? I can only find ones for the EK9, DC5 and 1st gen accord type r. I think we have the same seats as the CL1 Euro R?
^theres a guy selling ep3 drivers side recaro on one of the 3 main forums if that helps. ill link you if i can find it.
Just need the side thigh bolster foam not the whole seat lol I think i've found capitalseating, com selling bolsters for the Accord Euro R, and from my understanding all the Accord Type R use the same seats as the ep3, only in black.
I think thats what the service manual says, but i've also heard so many other ways like RR-RL-FL-FR (furthest from the master cylinder) or RR-FL-LR-FR (apprently a honda way of bleeding brakes?).
I've bled my brakes numerous times that way with no issues.
I know we also share the same front seats as the Evo 6.5 as well lol.
What kind of brake/clutch fluid temps would I see in daily driving with a few occasional spirited drives?
Reason I ask is cause motul rbf600 is like $35ish+ per 500ml! and has a dry boiling point of 312°C and a wet boiling point of 216°C. Car rarely ever sees the track, maybe like once or twice a year and most of the time they're just happy laps lol.
Then theres also the Penrite super dot 4 with a dry boiling point of 275°C and wet boiling point of 183°C and I can get it at $8.50 per 500ml or even go their race brake fluid line for $25 each with a dry 310c and wet 198c boiling point.
Also, could i use different brand brake/clutch fluid for the clutch? I'm also gonna do a brake flush on the old camry with the penrite super dot 4 and might have some left over which i was thinking of using on the EP3 to flush the clutch fluid out and use some race fluid for the brakes? Would the clutch fluid ever see the same temps as the brake fluid in normal/spirited driving? /menoob when it comes to this stuff lol
when you go for a spirited drive do you drive at 10/10ths? tires squealing on the edge of traction through every corner.
i used to think they put similar kinds of physical demands on the car. but its so different. so i assume the temps would be no where near boiling point on a typical weekend back road run
Just picked these up :) and exhaust should be arriving early next week and have booked in haks for Monday 10th to get everything done.

Unless you take the car to track, OEM dot4 should be sufficient.
I bought them off jdmyard. They normally sell them for $660, but I got it for $550, because there was a slight manufacturer fault. Basically the bolt bracket down the bottom part of the headers don't line up, so it will likely have to be repositioned by Haks but shouldn't cost too much to do so.
If anyone is interested in cost to install from Hak's
-Flange: $50
-Defouler: $70
-100 cel high flow cat: $450
-Header Install: $165
-Catback install: $50
Can't wait to have it all installed. Will have the complete I/H/E afterwards :)
