who's trimmed their fender lining? if so what places can do it for you around sydney?
The wife mainly drives it though. I wanted something more fun to drive so I traded her bmw 120i for my ep3 and she can't drive manual. I love my ep3 so much more and its so much fun modding and driving.
Anyone know where I can get plasti dip (pick up in Sydney preferably) for cheaper than what Zen garage is selling for ($34). I'm thinking of spraying the fascia and bottom part black as there's some scratches.
Pick up is available near bexley, plasti dip 02 9599 8858 , i paid $25 a can.
how my car turned out quick job.

I'm running 100cel hi flow. I bought the headers off Jdmyard and got performance exhaust centre to do hi flow, defouler and install
Ah righto then. No worries. Cheers
How does anyone install headers (PLM) on the ep3? I can't seem to fit it from the bottom cause the trailing arm is in the way and from the top it wont fit thru that gap between the valve cover and the firewall. I can fit it from the top but its pointing the wrong way and theres no way i can flip it around. =.=
I fitted my kiddracing ones up without too much trouble from the bottom. I undid the swaybar and squeezed them through. Got them sitting in the right position on the 2nd or 3rd try. You just need to put it in at the right angle, and play around with it a bit, twist it etc.
I'm not too sure if they're the same, but i did notice the kiddracing ones have PLM on the box
On another note, my air con is blowing out hot air
Yeah I was able to get the stock one in and out from the top but I had to remove the valve cover and it was still a tight fit. As for installing the plm headers it was impossible from the top as one piece and from the bottom the trailing arm and sway bar is in the way and I can't get enough leverage with just jack stand height. Probs just gonna get an exhaust shop to do it since I need to get the slip joints welded and cat made up. Spent literally 8 hours trying and my neck hurts now lol just need to find a decent exhaust shop that knows what an ep3 is.
And yeah just kiddracing was just a distributor, plm makes the headers
That's why I pay people to do it cause everytime I try something, there's always something that doesn't go smoothly
wohoo.. mugen mounts ordered :)
pics^
What is the widest and most offset for a 17" inch wheel without rolling guards on stock suspension ?
Stock wheels are 17" x 7 +45?
Perry is gonna be jealous
Cool thanks, so for the back keep it at 17 x 7.5?
For those who have mugen engine mounts, just wanted to know whether you left the rear mount oem, used another brand mount or just used energy suspension bushings?
Ive got a set of mugen mounts coming so need some advice so I can make an informed decision on what to do with rear mounts as mugen doesn't come with a rear one.
Thanks
17x9 can work too but better run 215/45 and keep offset lower than 40. It will run close I the trailing arm even with a few degrees neg camber
i left mine oem, even so its cracked~ i cbb changing it lol, but i will change the rear one to hasports or something with 62a, vibrations still minimal but at least the piece of mind is there.
you can probably pick up individual mounts at jdmyard if you really wanted to change them all at once~ but thats entirely up to you.
Yeah I can get a hasport rear mount for $150 on eBay so might just do that.
hey guys, would you recommend this type of oil in 5w-30 for the ep3? http://www.penriteoil.com.au/product...g=1&id_brand=6
Engine oil is so expensive these days, you could get a 20L drum on gumtree for $140 http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/liver...tre/1010476476
It's Castrol titanium now isn't it? I'll keep my eyes peeled for next sale. Post up here if u guys see the sale
Quick question that's been on my mind for when I service the car. I assume most ep3's don't come with log books. Do you guys just not worry about these? I've always had log books with my other cars so just curious.
Hi, new user interested in buying an ep3r, but i would like to ask a few questions about them...
How much are the running costs? (Servicing, insurance etc)
What is the availability of spare parts of the car? [very important]
Any problems prone for the ep3 that I should watch out for when inspecting one?
thanks,

This thread should help you
cheers, also explains why i havent burned a single drop yet maybe? good old Dede
I'm thinking of trying Nulon 10w-40 next time.. decently priced at $65 per 6 litres from supercheap..
what do you guys think about Nulon 10w-30? seems very cheap http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/onl...pc#Description
Is this the right service schedule for ep3?
http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/880/servicet.jpg
i follow this instead
http://www.euro-spec2000.co.uk/Honda/CivicTypeR/
but i do it every 5000km instead
Are the wind deflectors/visors screwed on or just stuck on with adhesive tape? It looks like there's a few mounting screws on it but the visors i found online are only held by tape.
Mines looks like it's gonna crack and I want to get it replaced.
i might just do a major service on my car since I've only just purchased it so I know all fluids and parts are fresh..
-engine oil
-oil filter
-fuel filter
-brake fluid
-transmission fluid
-coolant
Am I missing anything? and how much do you think it this service will cost?
450-550 at Top One. i did the exact same service about 2 moinths ago.
thanks.. i live near hanny's so will probably just take it to them..
i can do a simply oil change and oil filter, but don't know how to do the rest, plus would like to have receipts for future when i end up selling the car
I've been looking around to buy a set.
From my research, only OEM ones have clips.
Other ones are sold with 3M tape that they swear will hold.
I'll likely be getting my OEM set from here.
I'm running 17 x 8 +35 offset but my guards are rolled. Here's how they sit.
Guard rolling is cheap. The guy that did it charged I think $35 per corner so much cheaper than tyre shops who charge about $60. Let me know if u want his details.
If you're not lowered, you probably dont have to roll them

Sure are!
If you don't care for OEM and clips, cheapest option would be here.
They're actually one of ozhonda's sponsors selling in the forum for $79. Don't know how much shipping is though.
I might give my visors a respray in a gloss black colour since they look faded and spray the side mirror arms as well. Anyone done this yet?
Oh, i was at downshift! i parked on the grass near the sign. Tho i didn't stay long, it was packed tho, but too many commodores and the people there seemed to just judge others too much and had no respect.
and i usually just use scratch/swirl remover on the visors and it brings em back to life
I'd suggest sanding it down (varying grits) and then using a plastic polish on it. Used on a friend's Accord Euro Mugen visors and they turned up a treat.
