i dont believe in dyno figures, untill times are proven on the track.
you could get a gtr, and ran it on a dyno and only got 160kw, but when you go to the quarter mile, you run a low to mid 12.

er.. what tyres are you guys running? to say you get so much wheel spin?
im running bridgestone potenzas
225/40/18
Got standard 17's 215/45
Upgrading soon to Dunlop SPsport maxx 225/40/18's
I'm hoping less wheel spin:p
how much do u guys get ur tires for? on the original wheels 17s 215/45 apparently my cousin got his for like 450 bucks for one, and the tyre guy selling it said it will last 60000ks easily so yeah.. im thinking 450 bucks i may aswell kill myself hahaha well not really kill myself but yeah... get new wheels..
thats funny. wheelspin into 3rd. Dreaming.
How about some you's that just had the headers install take it down the quater mile. See what true power it has.
Some of you's might be shock on what time you'll run. :zip::zip:
I don't have any issues with wheelspin, but then again I don't drive aggressively on the road. My only problem arose at the track. Gear selection is really hard. I've been told I need an engine torque damper. Engine can torque load which also moves the gear selector. Changing down into 3rd would either jam or slide across into 5th. Headers also hit heatshield fitted to steering arms under brisk acceleration.
it will be hard getting good time on our dc5 or any NA car .. unless u wna take stuff off.. which after spending 25k + on a car... not many people would..
this is aimed at dc5R/S not the other cars which people do engine conversions on
I got Engine Torque Damper on my car.
Can't really say that it helped with gear selection, but there is defiantly more cabin noise.
oh, there is a little less movement of engine rocking back and forth, Supposed to help with wheel hoping.
Well that’s my experience of it on my car.
just curious. Whats the quickest Street registered NA DC5R in Oz atm in terms of 1/4 mile times.
Wheelspin? you sure? Difference between chirping 3rds then wheelspining into 3rd.
this aint chirping man, its wheel spin =0
You sure its not in the wet? O_O
Mate I gotta say they don't wheelspin 3rd. Very low torque even with mods. Just over 200nm at last dyno run. That's less than a 2.0FSI Golf. Even with the dodgy retreads that my car had when I bought it, it didn't wheelspin 3rd. It'd only chirp now if I flat change hard (which I don't do).
u sure ur tyres arent bald
the wheelspin im talking about is going from 2nd to 3rd changing at 8.5 each gear..
during 3rd, it doesnt spin.. just the change over.. and my tyres arent bald.
my dynoed torque from bels is
287NM = MIN
357NM = MAX
314NM - AVE
Tacho's get abit out high in the RPM...
not sure? but before the mods it cutted out at 7900 but seems that it goes to 8.5 then cuts off.. i change at 8.3/8.4 if i drive hard.
but yeh im using stock
PS, i cant drive hard atm.. my header and exhaust have issues

hey kev,
is this the car that was for sale couple of weeks ago? with the 5.0FD?
XPO2ED- thats not your true torque reading at the wheels. I too thought my previous b20 setup was pushing out heaps of torque at the wheels until forum member 'string' pointed out to me thats not the case. '314NM average' is like V8 power. i highly doubt your 2.0L 4 cylinder engine is that fully sick....perhaps pm string and he can explain it better
im just reading from my dyno.. but dunno i do get wheelspin to 3rd.. and myh tyres aint bald..
As i said "Power of Dreams"
thats why its a honda..
