imo lets go steal slimx oem lip kit i know where he lives ;)
yeh theres heaps of lips for the crx but some guy on the crx aus said he was puttin a DA9 lip on soo thought it would be a easy fit
eh.. well if its boxier shape den yeh its the right shape lol, just size wise if others are saying its wider then ull need work done bro and 2mprs pfft :P lol
I found a type-r lip to suite da9 on us ebay for about 120 posted, think ill just do that
Paying 80 for post, 30 for the lip itself hahaha o well
and ive had heaps of offers for my hole body kit ? the front and back lips, as well the side skirt and the door lip lol. Where do u buy these?? anyone know (stock OEM one) how much is it worth?
You cant buy them anywhere, hence why you are getting the offers.
I bought the only full kit I have ever seen for sale on OzHonda in about 5 years. and paid $500 but that is witha couple of cracks and a bit of fixing that needs to be done.
IMO, I wouldn't sell it for less than a grand.
oow and myns just been resprayed lol puts the value up i assume :D lol
I was speaking to someone that I met a while wgo who owned a DA9, and he told me about a mod that could be done that is possibly the best thing to do to a DA9..
Basically he said if you pull the diff and drivelines and whatnot out of a CR-V and put them onto a DA9, you've got AWD... And if you pull the pins from the front diff, RWD... Has anyone ever heard of this being done, or even know if it's possible without too much modification?
I'm not sure if he was bullshitting me or not, so I thought I'd ask. I personally don't think that it'd all fit without alot of modding...
wouldn't be surprise someone's done it...but bare in mind u'll have a lotta customising to do...one thing is..u'l lhave to find another way for ur exhaust to go IF the drivetrain does fit along that gap...once it get to the fuel tank section...it'll have to be go around the fuel tank which would result the drivetrain hanging around 1 inch front the ground...
so either ur car becomes as high as a 4wd..dun see how its gonna work
i dont have a da9 but im pretty sure they have special tanks for the da9s like they do for the factory awd eg civics that have a dent in the tank for the exhaust to go threw
thre is still part of the chassis just before the tank that u'll have to chop off then..
i guess in the end..if u spend enough money it in..anything can be done lol
just save the money of modding and get a RWD
otherwise, stick with FF =)
You have to love FF car
Altho RWD would be more fun.
BUT, BUT, if i have a RWD car, I would have lost my licences or die a long time ago
LOLOLOL
HAHA i dont think i'd kill myself...but i mite lose my license...or the car...ROFL
id deffinately lose the car :)
does any one know where abouts you can find a ys1 trans? ive got a s1 atm but with a ys1 parts are easier to find to build it- final gear ratio, lsd etc. plus dont really wanna do a hydro conversion.
I've got a spare YS1 from a 93 integra. PM me if you're interested in more details.
just wondering has anyone ever converted the da9 to use hydraulic clutch/gearbox.
I'm not quite sure how to explain it in english uh.. Like the clutch at the moment in all DA9 runs off a cable it is adjustable only to a point, with hydraulic thing its usually much more smoother and better performance ive heard.
So yeh has anyone done this?
Is it just a matter of changing gearbox and clutch? or something much more...
http://www.jdmyard.com/catalog09/hasport/
see bottom of the page.
ahh.. so $225 ay thats not bad just gotta worry about how to do it lol.
So am i gonna need a new clutchh? or is it just a basic conversion theres just part info on that page not really how to use it??
depends if you have a s1 box or a ys1. s1 is a different size but from ys1 upwards in integra's are all have the same size clutch, so you might not need to get a new one.
but apart from this you will also need a new transmission mount depending on what you get.
i think innovative's has a complete conversion assembly- check it on ebay
went to a local mechanic to get it all done, costed me $400 no need to change gearbox, and no need to change clutch, he said that he put in something thatj ust converts cable to hydraulic so its not entirely hydraulic.
Its much smoother now id recommend ppl getting it, performance wise pretty much same thing.. except if your trying to dump the clutch lol its a bit slower lol so less burnots :P haha
I dont quite follow.
You have a hydraulic box in your DA right? on what engine?
can we get some pics... i find this hard to believe.
ive been busy getting this ready

the zc is for an ef7
this civic ive been workin on for a little bit now, put a rollcage on it and finished a few things off bought it as an unfinished project.
its got a lsd, d16 with hi comps, integra tb, 4-1 headers, d2 coils and camber kit, wilwood brakes, whiteline sway bar and lower strut brace, energy suspension bushes throughout, sparco seat, gutted body, rosejoints etc. etc. just gotta get the fuel system sorted then i can nearly get out on the track.

ive still got the da btw but waiting for after xmas to put it back together
2001 GSi Engine? B18B..
1999 Gearbox.. i have no idea what model its just a standard one i believe off a dc2?
had it replaced a few months ago myn went. and a friend of myn suggested i find a way to get the clutch to work hydaulicly .. or sumfn so yeh googled around.. found its possible so i just asked the mechanic lol.
what should i take pics of?
some shots of the front of the gearbox close to the front engine mount would be good.
You should be able to see a bracket or similar (depending on what was done) in between the radiator fan and the gearbox and mounted to the box itself.
between that theres been nothing donee at all .. i believe its the other way
closer to the .. car window between that theres a shock sort of thing ill take pics wen i can cbf atm its night lol
take a pic of the bay we should b able to c where the master cly is for the clutch. either way just show something
Hey guys..
Anyone know what I should be looking at for a drive in drive away b20 swap into a da9??
Non vtec & vtec.
depends where you are man. i think the kit ranges from $50-$400 bucks. depends how u wana do it and depends how resourceful you are.
im not sure how much work is involved with labour and i think alot of it you could do yourself
put the sandwich plate on, but the oil line on and block it off.
take the new head and get it drilled and tapped and cleaned for the new oil feed for the vtec.
wire in the vtec.
change the ecu
then get the mechanic to fit it all and connect the vtec feed upto you blocked oil line and it should b alot cheaper. if he doesnt have to do management etc.
however dont quote me but you may have to recess the valves on the piston which if you do may b alot more expensive.
i think you could look around 1k for something like that in labour
So that's with me supplying all the parts and ecu and prepin the head prior to getting it all fitted in.
Anyone know what power I'd be looking at with a B20? and a vtec B20?
What size exhaust is best for this engine?
hey guys... long time no post. Merry Christmas
ok so my water pump decided to shit itself a few months ago, and decided ide get to replacing it today. weve removed the power steering pump plus all of the ancilary belts. according to the manual, now we have to remove the crank pully to access the timing belt cover and the pump.
now were stuck... how the hell do you unbolt the pully? the bolt is attached to it, so everytime it rotates, the cam gears rotate etc...
weve tried using a compressor gun, but thats pretty weak.
any suggestions?
cheers
Hey guys,
My fuel pump has just died and i was wondering what you guys think would be a good replacement
Cheers Chris
Goss or walbro are your decent replacement units.
warlboro there easy to fit cheap and work well
I had to replace mine bout 2 months ago i used a walbro it was easy to install only thing was droping the fuel tank and putting it back
Hey guys took the fuel pump out but it still works when i tested it :S tested one of the relays under the dash it wasn't working so I replaced that now the fuel pump works when the key is switched to ignition but still won't start any idea's of what it could be ?
Check your main relay.
2nded
hey whats the best injector size to go on a N/A application
ill be tuning it later too so yeh
fuel system all i got left to upgrade and since i broke an injector may be time to upgrade it
What you guys think??
mayb like a 390 or 440 man for what u have
yeh and im running a 65mm tb and skunk2 im now and full 2 1/2 exhuast
Keep your stock injectors? I'm 95% sure they're the same size as the Type-R (235cc) which makes over 40% more power than the standard B18A (i.e. plenty of wiggle room).
ah yeh cool, just wondering rele cuz we broke one so had to get new one anyway
bought a new stock one bout to put it in on and get the car started with the new tb and im :D
hey anyone got extractors?
just curious do they make a big difference? Worth buying?
and how much roughly in $$
Every car I have ever had, I changed the standard exhaust manifold, extractors generally make more power, better torque, and can add to the economy of a car.
You can pay anywhere from $150 and up to over $1000
I picked up the extractors off a racing Civic for my B16A in my DA9 (somewhere between $150 to $200 from memory), and they made a world of difference, but you should easily be able to find dyno results showing the difference.
Most factory headers are made with low cost and general running in mind, (cast ones are also quieter), so, make the change even on a B18A and you will notice,
Cheers
Chris
i gota b18b man, cant afford vtec or nothing.. just had an accident and what not to .. lol even less cash, i figured while im doing work on the car get a small mod for it to..
i got a CAI, Racing ECU? i dno someitnhg like that.., New Fuel Pump now just looking for that extra power.. and ive seen alot of the civics with extractors thouht id ask around about them.
When you say u paid $150-200 did that include labour?
You can put em on yourself, just unbolt old exhaust manifold and bolt on new headers with the gaskets
ebay has some cheapy ones for the da9 integra for like 220
hm.. fair enough ill look into it wen i get the panel beating.. so u guys reckon its definately worth the money?
Did they bolt up to the cat like stock? How long have you had them in for? I am concerned about the material quality - I don't want to be welding up cracks.
I was planning on using the OEM B18A "headers" on my B20VTEC but the performance gain to price ratio of the ebay headers over the stock piece of garbage makes them mighty tempting for $220, especially considering they will fit with no crossmember mods.
Yeah mate they should bolt onto the cat stock, just make sure you either get the 90-91 specific header if you have the 90-91 da9 or 92-93 specific header if you have the 92-93 one obviously
With the more expensive headers, youll get a little more gain out of them as theyre like 1 or 2 peice but your not going to notice that much of a difference if you get the ebay headers, most of the difference lies in the materials used, as obviously ceramic coated headers will keep their finish longer while ebay headers are probably just steel, and will fade, but you can just coat them in that VHT pot belly black high-temp paint anyways
guys i need to find a place to repair my FRONT LIP (on my oem body kit) its broken into 2 pieces.. where do i go in sydney??
Umm any body shop man, or you can fibreglass it, sand and paint it urself
for some reason none of the body shops do fibre glassing :S they only MAKE THERE own, i need a place that repairs existing ones..
Im sure an auto body shop can fix it mate, just ask around, they do repairs on bumpers so why not lips
true true btw guys..
im wrecking an integra all thats missing at the moment is the Front Bonnet and Front Bumper.

Hey guys just curious see the two interior lights up at the front near the rear view mirror. how do i OPEN that up to change the bulbs i wanna make'm LED's
And what kind of globe does it take?
Thanks.
use a screw driver and peal the WHOLE cover off. its the same bulb as center one, with connection on both ends
G'day fellas.
My question today is again B20 related.
I've been doing abit of research and what I've found is, a bit contradictory in some ways....
In summary the b20a found in early (87) model preludes puts out 119kw whilst the b20b puts out between 104-109..... Found in the crv.
So which is a better starting point , by starting point I mean easiest hassle free swap into a da, with possible mods to go on later of course.
I'm lost ATM, most ppl go with the crv option but why?
B20A is a completely different engine and not like the B series found in the integra/CRV/civic etc.
not a bolt in swap.
Little bit of info from AKMotorworks- http://akmotorworks.com.au/index.php...d=53&Itemid=81
Sweet.... All sorted....
Very helpful thank you.
Hi everyone ...
My gear box is dieing i suspect ... i get a weird screwed cv noise when i turn right, but only in second gear, and only turning right.
having said that are all ys1 gearboxes interchangeable? The clutch in my car is still pretty new. will I be able to put it in the next box i get? or is there a chance it won't fit?
Holy shit man, I'm starting to think we may have had the same problem! If you are referring to the special optional OEM body kit for DA's that you hardly EVER see, I have the same one and I hit a wombat one night and lost my front lip too! I went all over the place to try get it fixed but everywhere said that because it was plastic and not fiberglass it would be too hard to fix and cost heaps.
:(
yes lol thats the one! and ive found a plcae $240 to fix includes paint.
Okay, who around here owns the burgundy (torino red) DA, with the OEM lip kit and black buddyclub p1/volk te37 style wheels? Seen it twice in about 2 weeks around ringwood/croydon.
OMG dude i feel you're pain, lol. wow! whats the place? i'm very interested!
its in Sydney though.. if u come down we can get it done.
Its not like a shop shop lol ull see if ur planning to come down.
ahhh well i'm gonna be going to sydney for powercruise, so maybe i'll have it done then? so whats the place?
yeh man its true that it does fit its alot of work but it can b done
HOWEVER!!!!
the 4wd system in a honda doesnt work like a subaru or similar i surgest u look into how it works. and for the extra weight itll b a downgrade basicly when the front wheels spin itll try and drive the rear wheels at the same time
hey aman, wats happened with the da website?
man its goin in for updates and a reinstall. it had heaps of fake members. so it needs a refresh i need to get in contact with the domain host tmrw and get them to give me the mysql details then ill have it up soon... sorry guys it didnt look like anyone was using it thats y i thought id do something with it tryin to get u guys back in ive got a few things i wana add into it and hopefully make it alot better
hay aaron
count JOEBLOYO and Lo0se3r still in for dacrew =D
DA crew represent! Any of my fellow DA bretheren got a torino red or black bonnet they wanna sell me?
HAven't been in OZhonda for a long time, I realise i've missed quite a bit :p
Anyway, to those people who wants to change cable to hydro, just make sure you have space to mount the conversion kit. I did had some problems when i did a conversion last tiime. Thou i swapped a B18C R motor and gearbox. I posted some photos on the DA crew forum, if there is any unclear can PM me here or on the DA crew forum.
As for headers, if anyone is thinking of changing it, i reckon u get the aftermarket replacement for the lower crossmember (can't remember the name of the item) else most headers won't clear. (FYI, I was just using a JDM DC2 type R 4-1 headers.) Other alternative is you gotta muck around with the stock crossmember to clear the headers. If you choose to have the aftermarket replacement, you'll have to forgo 1 of the mounts, which is the front torque mount, so the choice is yours. I mucked around with the stock crossmember and its still good and replace all other engine mounts with innovative racing mounts. LOL, Idling = Vibration, hahaha..
A-man, remember the ride i gave you? LOL... a lil torque steer on 2nd... hahahhaa..
Oh yah.. anyone planning to do an engine swap? From B18A/b to B18C? I still have the mounts for them thou. LOL..
Regards.
Hey,where does everyone shop for parts in OZ?
I'm after some headlights for the da but i dont want the ebay crystals.
Might have to check the wreckers i guess
any local wreckers should have them
which state r u in?
i got my stock headlights, i wana get rid of them and get some black housing/angel eye/black housing projector ones.
I'm up for swaps.
