The only thing I will say about my D1Spec is that it doesn't always turn off when the ignition is off. You can either unplug the OBD2 port to unplug power, or leave it running as it drains very very very little of the battery or create your own DIY switch from Jaycar. Perhaps I got a dodgy unit, or I didn't plug in additional wires.

I got pictures of the unit's harnesses here. OBD2 plug should be the same since it's standard, I assume. I would only be worried about the accelerator harness. The person said his Jazz GE uses 7A harness and FDs use 4A harness or something. I don't know where he got that from but seems legit haha

As i see the photos, the harness look different to mine. I think he is right. I can confirm, the one for FDs is 4A. So you have to buy the harness seperately, $75 from JDMconcept.Quote:

But you were all wrong! My Optima Yellow Top died :( Car wont start, Even if I jump start it, It'll drive for about 5 minutes and it'll cut out again.
Got a replacement battery for $150. Not as good as my Dry Cell Optima Battery but cant afford another $400 Yellow Top.
Maybe in the future I'll get another one. Best battery by far. If anyone is looking at getting a new battery I would highly recommend Optima.
Think my Sound system in draining too much power. Is it expensive to get a second battery in the boot or something?
Recently changed my power cables to 0 gauge. I think thats draining it out

The Yellow top is made for cars with big sound systems. If you dont have one then maybe go for a redtop and save a bit of money. Red Top has good crank power for when you want to start your car.
I would go for another Yellow Top but broke at the moment. The replacement battery I got has almost the same cranking power as my optima and comes with 3 years warranty.

For the R18, from what I understand, it's more like i-VTEC / Fuel Economy mode up until 3.5K RPM, then it's non-fuel economy mode after that.Quote:
