Hahaha You guys and your weird as guessing game.
But you were all wrong! My Optima Yellow Top died Car wont start, Even if I jump start it, It'll drive for about 5 minutes and it'll cut out again.
Got a replacement battery for $150. Not as good as my Dry Cell Optima Battery but cant afford another $400 Yellow Top.
Maybe in the future I'll get another one. Best battery by far. If anyone is looking at getting a new battery I would highly recommend Optima.
Think my Sound system in draining too much power. Is it expensive to get a second battery in the boot or something?
Recently changed my power cables to 0 gauge. I think thats draining it out

How long did u have that Optima yellow top for? I was thinking of replacing the Batt, but so far don't really have issues.
I've heard lots of goods and bad about Optima. What's it look like in your engine bay? It's a tiny battery yeah? Where did you purchase?

I had it for about 3 years. My optima was the same size as my original battery.
I got it because as soon as I installed my Sub and Amp my stock battery died a few weeks later so needed something made for a high powered system.
Best battery. There are times were Im at a house party and we use my car for music. Played music up loud for about 4-5 hours with engine off and would start perfectly fine the next day.
The Yellow top is made for cars with big sound systems. If you dont have one then maybe go for a redtop and save a bit of money. Red Top has good crank power for when you want to start your car.
I would go for another Yellow Top but broke at the moment. The replacement battery I got has almost the same cranking power as my optima and comes with 3 years warranty.
Should be fine with the warranty
Also, I just watched my video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxDnHMgUMs8
And at about 0:08 you can slightly hear the vtec cross over. Nothing hardcore but if you turn it up you can hear it

I do have aftermarket double din, speakers, lights etc. Stock batts seems to be holding up atm.
I'll just go yellow top, would hurt. Besides the wallet.
I'm looking ebay, the Batts are like $250-$350 range. All the same right?
EDIT: Prob cause of the model, which model fits ours?

I think mine was 34D. But you can get different models.
Make sure they're brandnew though. Not recharged secondhand stuff.
I think price are are different because of other factors. You can get more Terminals and ect. ect.

yeah, just looked. D34 model has like twice the CCA vs the one I linked.
Question, what's this stuff about charging? I'm looking at the manual atm. Are we ment to maintain it somehow? I was hoping it would be drop in and forget sort of batt =P

I have no idea lol. I just dropped it in and used it. The downside to Dry Cell battery is that the're not supposed to be Jump started if our car ever dies.
Which is unlikely since they have a high cranking power. But I dont know about the charging thing. I used mine straight away and never had a problem till now

Lol Really? I can hear it. I showed my brother and he heard it. You need to turn it up and around 5,700 revs (8 Seconds) you hear it

We do. However, FD1 and FD2 VTEC are different. I assume your car is FD1 with R18 so VTEC hit around 3.5k rpm where as K20Z hit VTEC around 5k rpm. R18 VTEC is designed for fuel economy so I wouldn't be surprised if you can't feel its crossover. For your car, you would be hitting it everyday anyway LOL
