EK questions on wide tyres & wider track.

Hey guys, looking at some 15x7 rims for my EK. The ones im getting are Buddyclub p1 sf challange. http://buddyclub.com.au/2007/p1_sf_c/p1sfchallenge.html

Im needing help, deciding on which offset to get, they come in +27 or +35.
Id prefer to run the +27 offset if they will fit, without scrubbing.

Ill be running 205/50r15 tyres, car lowered so theres around a 1.5 finger gap between the rim and guard.

Also, ill be happy to have my guards rolled if needed.

Do you guys recon the +27 offset rim will work for me?
Also, if i got the 35+ offset, do you guys think i could fit a 215/50r15 tyre if iI can find any in that size?

Is anyone out there running lower offset wheels in there EKs (under +35)?

Yea that would do it, however I want my camber more functional at no more than 3 deg??

Im thinking maby get the +35 with 205s, and if theres more room get 215s?

you will be able to go 215 width i think
I'm running 15x7 on my EK with 215/45/15 tyres, offset is +38 thou abit less than you.

its lowered around 1" atm for street
so abouts just under 2 finger gap all round

i've had it to no finger gap all round and it didn't scrub with my wheel tyre combo

it scrubbed with 17" thou with 205/40/17 tyres. It was a big difference.

if you roll your gaurds at the front you can get 225/50/15 to fit, but at full lock it will rub slightly.

215 is perfect but the problem is its almost impossible to get that size in the correct profile.

for a 15x7, pretty sure you need a +35

I have 16 x 7 Enkei RPF-1s on my EJ8 with +35 offset. On them I have 215/45 profile rubber and they fit without any dramas whatsoever - no rubbing or scrubbing, even at full lock.

I think +27 offset would cause some issues though - you may need to do some serious guard rolling, depending on how low youre planning on going.

yeah that's why i change to 16s cos its easier to get 215s

Roll your guards and you can run 205 on a +27 fine.
What suspension do you have?
It will be flush but shouldn't scrub.

Yup, running 15x7 +27 with 205/50 ku36 here.

Rear guard lip rolled flat, rear bar trimmed, rear bar mounting point moved back 1-2cm, front fender tabs bent back and fender lining put behind the tabs, instead of infront. Stock camber arms, lowered on coilovers so there is no tire gap.

No scrubbing at all. Sits very nice.

Hi GUys I have just got a set of 235/49/18 's on my civic 07.Now m facing th scrubbing problem while turning right on a speed of 40+ and also on small bumps.

Is there any solution to the scrubbing problem et all....HELP NEEDED.
