Just wondering is there any CL7 Euro R in austrlia?
and what's the top model of Accord euro psi.?
nope..no cl7s in australia.. its only jdm..
top model is the luxury navigation
ooo...rally... but in terms of engine and power... CL7 and CL9 is the same? except CL9 have more luxury accessory...?
Wrong forum dude, theres an accord euro sub-forum where all the euro-lites hang about.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_A..._generation%29
CL7 = accord with 2 ltr k20
CL9 = accord with 2.4 ltr k24
There is no euro R in Australia. I have never seen any imported one as well.
No....
CL7 K20A makes more power than AUDM K24A in CL9
Less torque though (160kw/206NM vs 140kw/223NM). For daily driving, the CL9's 2.4 is better as it's torque is more useable (peak @ 4500rpm vs 6000rpm). Power peak is at 6800rpm vs 8000rpm though.
Power peak @8000 rpm.. Lol yeah... That's useful.
There's a guy on this forum with CL7 listed...
wat's a cl8?

It's pretty much a CL9 with a 4WD platform :)
oshiee that's wicked!
The CL8 and CL9 comes in both wagon and sedan form :)
My bad didn't read the engine number bahahaha
My mate just got 1 last year from HONDA dealer in Melb.
http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php...type=3&theater
Apparently you can ask the dealer to source one for you , I guess
Link doesn't work for me, but I am skeptical!
CL7 Euro R was never listed on the SEVS register for import. A dealer would not have been able to "special order" one either - Honda Australia never got compliance for them (RVDs only show compliance for 2.4L CL9 models). Only way to get one in the country is as a personal import. Seen plenty of people running Euro R badges on CL9s though!
I think that was a special edition back before the CL9 facelift.
It had the euro-r grill, body kit and rims.
6 speed k20a same motor in a type R, thats what he told me

Got any more pictures?
So easy to just see if it's a Euro R...
Look at his chairs and arm rest...
If it's not Euro R Recaros and the soft Recaro trim on the arm rest it is not a Euro R.
I will ask him to get more pic for me as he only got these 2 pic of his facebook. Will upload the pic as soon as I got the pictures from him. I don't think if its not "Euro R" , he would posted it as "Euro R" though, we don't like being a "wannabe". But anyway, like I said, I will keep you guys updated.
Update : just received his sms , the interior has been parted out before the dealer trade it in to AUS, but he got the engine and the interior is bride cf now. he will post to me once he got the time (apparently he is busy now, typical newly wed)
I don't know but in regards to the picture...
Those seats look too low to be Euro R Recaros...
Just a hunch :p
Haha
Don't think that's a Euro R there mate - Euro R's had black window moldings and dark chrome door handles as per the "Sport" or "Limited" variants that we got in our CL9s. That white car has chrome moldings and chrome handles as per the Standard or Luxury Euros.
Not saying that it can't have a K20A under the bonnet, but my money is on it being a replica.
Its not a euro R. look at the 'accord' emblem. Its too far left, meaning the 'euro' emblem was removed. If it was a a real euro r, the 'accord' emblem would be more towards the right.

How our cl9 has it,
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...8-My-New-Euro-) [ thanks aroy7, couldnt find a damn rear pic of our accord on google]
edit: dont know what rear lip he has on that. I for sure wouldnt change a genuine euro r rear lip if my car was a genuine euro r. just sayin.
Well , I might be a newbie to differ which one is euro r or not, so I am not gonna say anything at this point. But since we were friend, I will still believe on him. I don't see any point he would lie to me or to anyone else saying its EURO R, if it's not. He got pride if you asked me, and I don't see he will gain anything by driving a "replica" around. Just imagine how hard people will laugh at him if it's replica. Why would anyone want to drive a replica these days unless they are retards. Anyway, I will still wait for his picture to comes up to me and post it here.
Not an EuroR. The window trim on an EuroR is black. You can also check the tacho and speedometer. The EuroR's is full red in colour and the tacho goes up to 9000rpm as well.

lol... coz we dont see enough civics with Type R badges... or skylines with GTR badges... hahah
You can just see through the windows to see it hasn't got Recaro's and the Chrome door surrounds - usually black on CL7.
Rear badge is also a good pick up too!
This one is defiantly not a CL7 Euro R.....
Still, It's a nice CL9..
If your friend is still not convinced with any of this and still reckons he's got a genuine Euro-R, there is a definitive way to confirm for sure which is the only thing that cannot really be changed or swapped in car, the chassis :) Get him to check the VIN Chassis number, if it is a genuine Euro-R then it must start with "JHMCL7" otherwise if it starts with "JHMCL9" then its the same as every other Accord Euro in the country.

Lol @ longers' stalking skills
Been stalking the Euro builds on FB (from the Euro fb group page on here) and one of the admins has a CL9 Euro with a EuroR badge.
Dunno how legit it is though.
Here's the group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/336392983078573/
I'm 99% sure that you can not import the Euro R as the CL9 is already sold in the domestic market over here.. as per the RAWS rules you cant bring those kinds of cars (for example S15's from ~2002 cannot be brought in since they were sold locally as 200SX)..
if there was one, it would most likely be a personal import..
and yes the laws are retarded even though the CL7 is pretty much a different car to the CL9, but the same rule is with the Lexus GS300 from 1998-2003. That model has an N/A 2JZ, and in Japan they are sold as the Toyota Aristo with both the N/A and twin turbo 2JZ, yet you cant bring them in! (unless its a personal import)
If you want one, be prepared to pay heaps for an ultra rare personal import, or just wait for them to be 20 years old. (this is assuming someone has actually gone to all the trouble to bring in a FWD Euro R instead of all the other great unique cars that can be brought in from Japan/Europe ;) )
Good point? That bloody white cl9 is so not a euro r..
1. It has chrome surroundings
2. It has Modulo lip lit Not euro r kit
3. It has beige interior
holy shit
worth jumping on!
Win!!!!
and so we have one finally. sweet
Omfg... id sell mine for it :(
Ahhh hello..?? Its automatic no euro r is auto LOL !!!! And it has a k24 lol you guys are silly !!
^well obviously you didnt read the comments or view the pictures..
Oh you are correct sorry my internet is not the best :) that is nice however mine is better :P
Thats coz the Euro R is not listed in carsales database (same database as redbook) because it was never released in Aus nor allowed to be imported (except privately like this one). Not sure why he listed it as auto though, he could've definitely picked manual.
k20 like the s2k? Bit of a far call
im still laughing...
Couldn't believe my eyes, just saw a recent post on the forum. There's the real deal CL7 Euro R for sale in car sales. Personally imported in 09!!
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...CarAll&keyword
curious, how do most of you consider this as cheap? yes its probably the only one, but a similar year cl9 with milleage would be around 13000-15000$. This is a good 10k more. If someone wanted it cause its rare I guess thats the only point. Else if you wanted it for performance, could easily SC a cl9 with that 10k difference in price.
There's an echo in here from page 4....
It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I personally think 25k is a little bit steep, but someone may be willing to drop the $$$ to own a car that's unique in Oz. While it is a unique car, only JDM/Honda Type R heads and people in this forum are going to be able to tell it's a real Euro R, let alone know that it's any different to a garden variety Euro.
- HZ
Aside from the differences mentioned above in standard kit for type R, when selling you won't get any of the money you put into SC and tuning back, whereas the Euro R will hold most of its value due to rarity/desirability. Im not saying the R is cheap , but putting 10K into SC a honda is a far worse 'investment'.
That, and while it is a lot of money, it's the same price as most clean EP3's. Silly to compare it to a lesser Euro. That's like saying an EP3R is not worth it because the normal Civic can be had for 8-12k depending on condition.........
I WANT that car.. Possibly the only one I'll ever find...
I'll need about $20k more to afford it :(
Damn so nice!!
:) :d :d :d :d :d :d
You're 100% right. And the VIN of that Euro R on carsales proves it:

Omg... That is the only time u'll catch me using that phrase... I'm speechless, it's like I've just lost me virginity "euro r" virginity... U all understand what I mean! except for the guy that bought that white rip off! Hahaha most likely a virgin running two screens with fb n porn running flat out, still living with his parents!!!!
No need to insult the guy man, you don't even know him. It wasn't even him who posted it on here it was a friend of his. You're not gonna get any rep points for lame comments like that.
hahaha in hindsight that was a bit harsh!
sorry dude!
If you want to know anything about a cl7 or cl9... pick my brain i know a fair bit.
Plus ive pulled apart mine a hundred times...
cbf listing mods n maintenance!
much love!
wheres skyichigo.. probably no friend with the white euro driver anymore
SHIT I found this as well - I can't believe this - I want it
Everybody wants it, no body is willing to put the money down :)
