OK so Joneblaze says he has a DC4. Fair enough, but what MAKES it a DC4? I thought it may have been the different front end etc, but his is 94 stylez.. What gives man? Any particular differences? OR is DC4 the GSi and DC2 is a VTiR???

B18B (GSi) vs. B18C (VTiR) engines (AKA = VTEC), ABS system on VTiR, Exterior differences (colour coded side door moulds on VTiR), Driver and Passenger airbag for VTiR compared to Driver-only for some GSi's. Also "Series 1" GSi's came with 14" hubcap steelies, "Series 2" with 15" alloys. VTiRs came with 15" alloys. Can't think of anything else... :roll:Quote:

but yeh, series 2 Gsi's also come with ABS i think
and yeh, the issue of a sunroof has to come up here somewhere as well ;)
*i think* series 1 Gsi's and Vti-R's have sunroof's stock, but its an option for series 2 Gsi's
Wasn't the Gsi just a cheaper option for people who didnt want to spend the extra $$$ for the Vtec?

I've always found the naming scheme bizarre...
The Type-R was the model with the modified chassis - stiffer bits, thinner bits, the whole shebang; yet it shares the code with VTi-R, the model far more similar to a GSi.
did the 93 vtir come with abs?
I bought a DC4 yesterday, its sweet. Just wish it sounded better, other than that I have no complaints. So I'm guessing DC2's must just be amazing.
DC4 was also the only one that had the option of an automatic transmission - so it wasn't only cheap people. Everyone who preferred the auto tranny could only get the DC4.

im looking at buying a 1995 model, has sunroof, its 4 stud and is vtec? wat does it make it
As was already covered in the other thread, the GSi is non-VTEC, while the VTi-R is VTEC. That is basically the only significant difference between the two model. They are both 4 stud, and both can have sunroofs.Quote:

Pritty sure the suspention was diffrent, gear ratio extra. Dc4 base model ------------ Dc2 sport model ----------- DC2R track ready model
