Hi everyone.
Is there any after market parts for the New CTR FN2?
Such as Cat back and things like that:
im thinkin at this stage....no
Try checking some europian and UK sites, they are most likely to start with mods
Check these
http://www.banzai-tuning.de/
Hondata is the way
http://www.cplracing.co.uk/news.php
there's development of the carbon fiber intake from GruppeM for the FN2
For this web site, http://www.banzai-tuning.de/
I found a set of coilcovers for the FN2, however, can't understand the languages in the web site, how can you guys normall order parts from em?
Many thx;)
leave it for another few months , some aftermarket catback , header etc will come out soon
CPL have a reflash thats supposedly making 173wHp
its on their website
they have a prototype header+exhaust but wont be releasing just yet
and theres a AEM short ram intake for sale in the UK
I will be testing if previous K20 Flywheel and LSD will fit in the FN2, at this stage, there's no reason to say that they wont.
EP3 front camber bolts will fit FN2 but have not confirmed if they are 14mm or 16mm bolts
Front and Rear Brake Pads are the same as EP3 and therefore same as S2000 as well as AUSDM DC5R (TBC) not sure about the discs, pretty sure the front is same as AUSDM DC5R at 300mm
oh as for wheels
most agressive offset you can get safely is
8J +48
or
7.5J +43
Diameter up to 20" has been ok
CPL made some good gains, that's around 20HP@wheels over stock one, not bad at all
Rumour has it that James from Hondata/Hondatech has just purchased a Civic Type R and is using it as a test car to develop a header, exhaust, intake, ECU combination for the FN2. Waiting in anticipation.....
That sounds awesome...only thing is the new ECU that hondata has released disables the stock honda immobiliser and for some, well for me that is my actual insurance company won't insure me unless the immobiliser is enabled..hopefully James can actually rectify this through his testing.
The Hondata ECU is only in the inital stages of development, at a guess I would say you need to wait at least six months until they are released.
Yes well I actually posted in the Hondata forum and apparently the guy actually design the ECU and other mod's has about 4 stores in NSW's alone which sells his parts...so I suppose when it gets closer to release date, I will be asking where abouts we can purchase the mods.
goodies for the new baby. the mind can't wait but the wallet sure can.
anyone sourced a new fuel cap yet? eager to replace mine before i've even got the car
Is there anyone thinking to mod the front brakes to Brembo???
yeh true would be off tap. id rather spend money on air-intake wen it gets released
Hey..anyone know anything about the FN2 mods released?
Ive seen Brembo caliper covers off ebay for ~$10.Quote:
but a real Brembo looks stunning man. Just wondering how much would it be
the jdm dc5r brembos fit onto fn2? im thinking about gettin some but not sure if they'll it
The jdm DC5R brembos will never bolt on directly onto the FN2. You might be looking at changing the control arms/drive shafts or even the whole undercarriage, which does not make financial sense.
I do not know about FN2, but for EP3 which is more similar to a DC5R, there are too much costs involved to even consider about the conversion.
Are you changing it for looks? I believe the standard brakes on the FN2 is already very good, why not just change pads and have a go at it?
