Thought I would do a picture update of the different lips available for ek civics (96-00). If you havent seen the thread;
The definitive 'what lip will fit on my ek' thread
See that first.

I think in this post I will only stick to OEM lips. Those posting subsequently can add aftermarket ones.

1998-2000
Civic Type R (CTR)/EM1 front lip

Sedan front lip

Civic Type R rear lip (EK)

Civic Type R rear lip (EM1)

Sedan rear lip

1996-1998
SiR Lip front lip

1996-1998 Civic Type R front lip

OEM Honda Access front lip

Sedan front lip

1998-2000 Civic Type R (CTR)/EM1 STYLE front lip (NOTE: this is not an OEM option - they are CTR 1998-2000 style lip for a 1996-1998)

Civic Type R rear lip (same as the 1998-2000 hatch rear lip)

Civic Type R rear lip (EJ)

OEM Honda Access rear lip

SiR rear lip

Sedan rear lip

Thanks alot, I wish you posted it up before last night, so I wouldnt have to have made a post about the difference between CTR Lips on EK9 Bumper, EK1 Bumper or EJ8 Bumper

EM1 lips will fit EJ8 bumpers with some miror work and vise versa. Only the front wont let u retro fit, been there done that, lol

So to clarify, you can fit an EM1 front lip on an EJ8 with some minor modifications? Do you have a photo so that I can add it up above?

only the rear can be made to fit the EJ8, did it to mine a few months back, looks perfect, it's not called the "type r lip" it's just an OEM lip

ooooooo i got a question!
lets say i put a ej8 front bar on my ek1... is the ej8 front bar the same as the ek4 front bar?

i noticed they both dont have the black plastic strips like the ek1.. i just want to know if they're the same shape or is there a slight difference ?

zzz. as people already told you in the thread you made., ej8 front bar is just a pre-facelift fonr bar without mouldings. its exactly the same!!

ek4, comes with mouldings on the bumper, if u see an ek4 without mouldings its an ej8 bumper

the prefacelift front CTR lips look so much better than the facelift ones. I has a OEM rear lip, mounting brackets n all, i can take a photo of that if you want. (not attached to my car)

so how about rear lips for a ek sedan ? 96-98 model... they have different lips compared to the hatchbacks right?

and will the coupe lips fit the sedan rear bars? and allllllso ... what types of lips are available for ek sedans?

sorry to be a hassle.. just trying to learn.. and my mate is looking at getting a lip kit for his ek sedan

yes they do, the hatch is diff lip entirely in overall shape

the coupe lips will fit sedans, there are so many lips on offer I'd run out of text a good 10 that look decent, including various examples in fibreglass, abs plastic (oem quality my personal fav), carbonfibre
