    Da3 questions

Hey guys found a da3 might be able to get it cheap. Just wondering if they were actually released in Australia or import only. Also does much da9 stuff drop straight in (dash engine etc) or is it completely different?

    Completely different I think. I believe DA3 is Gen1, DA9 is Gen2.

    Correct ^

Pretty much nothing is compatible with the DA9 although the DA1-3 chassis did run the ZC and d- series engines in various iterations which the second generation integras also had in the DA5, 7 etc. I remember seeing a member on here that was doing a B series conversion into his DA3 it is not bolt in but not too difficult either. I believe seats may swap over with minor modification and also wheels..

Yes they were released here. I love the look, nice cars. Bit old though...

mooshie I think DA9 brakes (262mm rotor, caliper, pads etc) may be compatible with the EF8!

Correct, all suspension from the DA5-9 is very similar to the EF and will basically bolt on.

First gen DA integras use a torsion bar rear end and completely different front set up too. The mid 80s civics and crxs use similar setups but the integras had the 'best' of all of them, back in the day it was an easy upgrade for your civic/crx to swap all the mechanicals in.
