EG8 idoling HIGH

[L-Plates]

hey i just recently got my EG8 and lately its been idoling at around 1800rpm..
is that normal or high because when im at the lights or at a stop it sounds like i got my foot on the gas slightly...?!!?

any1 know the solution to it..!?
