    MY07 bootlid fitted :D

finally i got my boot all finished!

when i purchased my car she had the spoiler already fitted... which looked ok, but i wanted the back to be bare... after taking the spoiler off i drove around with just blanking grommets filling the holes, after months of stuffing around i finally decided to get them filled and the boot resprayed... after my initial enquires it was going to cost $450 to get it all done...

i also needed to buy a new tail light as my right one accidentally got melted while debadging the lid lol they cost $240 from honda!

anyway, long story short i ordered a new boot from a wrecker in sydney, along with two MY07 tail lights (tinted reverse lenses for those who don't know) for $500 delivered... boot arrived a couple days later, damadged in transit!! see below:

so then began the whole ringing around everyone - blaming certain people , blah blah blah... decided id just drive to sydney and swap the damaged one over for another - simplest solution. went up to sydney last weekend and got this baby:

    debadged her (very carefully):

DC5R red "H" badge and MY07 tail lights:

    finished product:

    finally installed:

now im just waiting for my euroR badge to arrive from japan and she'll be complete

Even though it's not a Type R, the red badge looks great on silver. Well done mate!

Thanks for the info. I might consider getting that in the future. The matching key looks sweet too.

The reverse lenses look normal to me, is it just the photo angle?

he supplied the bootlid complete (number plate lights, light cover, release mechanism, boot release button) and 07 tail lights for $450... it cost me $50 freight to get it from sydney to canberra, but got that refunded because of the damage...
