    Recaro's do weigh around 16 kg's each as I remember. I THINK!!! They are heavvyyyy. IcemaN on the forum weighed them.

    I guess this thread was intended for removing weight for racing purpose... where pwr to weights really counts.

    Doing half the stuff for street sounds stupid.

    Our dc2r aust spec weighted in at 1113kg, on the scruntineering weighbridge at my local race track with 1kg resolution. It had bit less than 1/4 tank fuel, itr floormats, all other junk removed from car, oe space saver spare wheel, tools and jack intact, washer fluid about 80% full.

    imo. jack, spare wheel, tools etc deleted, lighter hood, aircond deleted perhaps, light weight pulley and fly wheel, header and exhaust and lighter seats. everything else is jus too little. rear seats weighed almost nothing to me. 5kg max

    remove all interior carpets and seats.
    use dry ice on the sound deadening stuff that you can see thru out the car.
    helps a little.
    like everything else.
